It is official… The town of Rutland MA has cancelled the 250th July 4th celebration. Voters rejected three massive tax override votes a few weeks ago. The town also took in enough donations to pay for the entire weeklong celebration. This includes paying for Police and Fire detail. The town mentions in this public statement, that they will not be refunding any of the donations. Some businesses in town donated up to $2000 to fund this. The town is keeping the money. They’ve also canceled the main events. It’s just another day living in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts. Please share. People need to know about this🙏🙏
