Enough is enough. The Government of India must act and summon X to demand accountability for allowing unchecked, dehumanizing racism-and even calls for violence against Indians-to spread on its platform. It almost feels as if @nikitabier and @elonmusk are enabling it. It’s high time the Indian government takes serious action against these wrong doers. For instance, these handles repeatedly post blatant, unhinged, hateful, and dehumanising content targeting Indians, clearly violating X’s own terms of service. They even spread so much fake news and misrepresented information/media. Yet, instead of action, their accounts seem to be amplified by the platform’s algorithm. Some of these handles are only a month old, yet their reach is significantly boosted. This isn’t “free speech.” Persistent racism and dehumanisation constitute targeted hate, and when platforms host and amplify such content, they become complicit to effectively dog-whistling with real-world consequences.
