@StephanieN924 I've been through before. What you do is make fun of it and try work with other trans people. These people die out quickly when Dems get in and start LGBT protections start passing. It's important that these people will never do anything other than endlessly post online

This is one of those tough conversions that we need to have.
This take is from a political perspective.
Self ID post 2016 has completely fucked us.
We are getting fucked in the courts, we are getting fucked in the legislatures.
And every time they pass a law stripping us of our rights they present a detransitioner who Self ID into being trans when with proper protocols in place would have never been allowed to transition in the first place.
Or the Right spreads propaganda of someone who obviously reads male to literally everyone. Probably due to the blue hair and beard shadow. And they say, "see look at this male predator going into the women's."
Is it fair to the trans community?
100% absolutely not. We are absolutely being scapegoated.
But its undeniable that Self Id of recent has fucked our community optics within cisnormative society.
The community needs to grapple with the reality of the situation that we are going to continue to lose rights so long as most of cisnormative society thinks of a trans woman as a man versus a passing woman.

Transmedicalism protects women and transsexual women. Gender ideology puts both in danger.
Transvestites see being a woman as a punishment. They like being men, and the humiliation of wearing women’s clothes and being what they perceive as degraded is erotic for them. Obviously, they have no business in women’s spaces.
Transsexuals literally cannot clinically function as men. We psychologically shut down. Our lives pre-transition are about pretending to be someone others expect us to be. Our childhoods are so depressing - terrified of not being loved we try to accept being boys. It slowly shatters our mental health.
Transmedicalism seeks to put a hard wall between these cohorts. This matters because transvestites vastly outnumber transsexuals.
Gender ideology insists there is no difference and wants everyone to self-ID as they please. It’s not fair to women, and ultimately will destroy transsexual civil rights.
Transmedicalists like myself are the only trans activists serious about protecting actual trans women.

Progressives try to flatten all trans people into the same thing. But we are not.
A trans woman who gets vaginoplasty has a different psychology than one who does not.
A trans woman who dates men has a different psychological space than one that dates other trans women.
Someone who is early onset has a different psychology than someone who decides to transition in their 40s.
It’s not about one being better than the other. It’s about correctly diagnosing people and setting appropriate public policies.
We have to be able to talk about these differences openly and honestly. Because this has to be about medicine, not politics.

I never wanted to debate my rights.
I never wanted to represent an entire community.
