It was an honor to celebrate National School Choice Week at the @WhiteHouse this morning with @EDSecMcMahon and so many longtime allies. This year there is much to celebrate with about half the country already opting in to the new game-changing federal scholarship tax credit. Learn more at agudah.org/FSTC

Had the opportunity this morning to thank @EDSecMcMahon and the administration for their support of school choice and discuss the role of the faith community in advancing the federal scholarship tax credit so that families in all 50 states can benefit from this historic opportunity.

Honored to be part of the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit coalition. What better way to celebrate National School Choice Week than to attend a school choice roundtable at the @WhiteHouse with @EDSecMcMahon?

From Wayne Grudem: “Sometimes the results of our ministry appear many years later: In 1982, when our oldest son Elliot was in 3rd grade, Margaret began to think that we needed a Christian school in the north suburban Chicago area (there were none near us). As we talked, I agreed with her. We began to talk with other parents and soon we formed a committee to address the possibility of founding a Christian school. After many presentations at many churches and in many homes, Christian Heritage Academy opened in 1984 in Northbrook, Illinois with 59 students in grades K-6. The school now has moved to nearby Northfield, Illinois, and has over 400 students in grades K-12. I was the first president of the board, from 1982-1984. I think many of you who receive this prayer memo worked with us to get Christian Heritage Academy started. Fast forward to about 2005. There was an 11-year-old boy in 5th grade, and one day, after hearing a challenge from a teacher, he raised his hand to commit his life to Christ. This commitment set the direction of his whole life. The young boy’s name was Charlie Kirk.”

Charlie Kirk's life pointed many to hope and truth found in Christ. His testimony will continue to inspire courage and love for God and country. We pray continually for his wife and family. But we do not grieve without hope, because we know Charlie Kirk is alive with his Savior.

Charlie Kirk’s legacy will indeed be his courage to speak the truth in love, his unwavering faith in Christ, and his devotion to his family and his country. He invited young people to reason with him, and his willingness to dialogue peacefully changed hearts and minds.

Woohoo! This is a stunning victory for religious liberty and quashes the idea that Govt can define what constitutes religious practice or limit what type of institution can have free exercise of their religion.
SCOTUSblog@SCOTUSblog

In the case of Wisc.'s denial of a tax exemption for religious nonprofits to Catholic Charities, the Supreme Court today reverses the decision of the Wisc. Supreme Court that said that the group didn’t qualify for the exemption b/c it did not proselytize and served non-Catholics.

President Trump: Despite these breathtaking failures, the [Department of Education’s] discretionary budget has exploded by 600% in a very short period of time. The DOE has been, as President Reagan described it, a ‘bureaucratic boondoggle’ since its inception. Thank you, President Trump, for taking bold action to begin dismantling this failed department. Congress must follow your lead and bring the department to a permanent end!

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on President Trump's EO slashing the Department of Education 🔥🔥 "The Department of Education was founded in the 1970 and since then we have spent more than $3 trillion at this bureaucracy. What has been the ROI for the taxpayer? Our children's test scores are incredibly concerning when it comes to literacy rates, math, and science test scores." "This president is finally taking much needed action to return education where it belongs. That's to educators closest to students in their classrooms in their respective states."
