A year ago this week, @TaxCuts became law. Since then, Ohio workers, families, seniors, and business owners have already begun seeing the benefits. From tax relief on tips and overtime to helping local businesses create jobs and invest in their communities, this law is putting more money back into the pockets of hardworking Ohioans and strengthening our state’s economy.

Chuck Schumer is plotting another chaotic government shutdown. I’ll keep working with my colleagues to keep the government open and fund critical programs that are important to our economic and national security.

As I travel around the country, I see it everywhere I go: The Working Families Tax Cuts are changing the lives of Americans. American Workers have more money in their pockets from: ✅ No Tax on Tips. ✅ No Tax on Overtime. Unprecedented investment in our country is fueling: ✅ Greater Business Expansion. ✅ More Incentive to Hire. ✅ More JOBS.

Ohio is the manufacturing engine that keeps our nation moving forward. I had the chance to spend time with @LubrizolCorp and leadership from @cwru’s NEO-SMART initiative that are driving innovation in Cleveland today. Investments like these will help ensure northeast Ohio remains at the forefront of manufacturing and innovation for decades to come.

The Working Families @TaxCuts are allowing hardworking Americans to keep more of what they earn for priorities like buying a home. I enjoyed discussing with @Sonderling47 how we can continue creating opportunities for hardworking Americans to get ahead.

Tackling our national debt is one of the best ways to improve affordability.

@BGCA_Clubs provide safe spaces and opportunities that help more than four million young people learn, grow, and prepare for the future.   It was great to join these young Ohioans with Senator Moreno and @RobPortmanOH to hear directly from these leaders about the important work they’re doing to support our state’s youth.

Sgt. Scott Ries was a dedicated public servant who put his life on the line every day. He made the ultimate sacrifice in service to Ohioans. His wife, children, loved ones, and fellow officers remain in our prayers.

Grateful the @EPWGOP Committee included the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative in the Water Resources Development Act. As the only member on the committee representing a Great Lakes state, I’ll keep fighting to protect Lake Erie and support conservation across Ohio.

Honored to be named one of Ohio’s top 25 AI leaders by Ohio Tech News. As Ohio’s Lt. Governor, I worked to position Ohio as a national leader in AI education and workforce development. Ohioans on my recent telephone town hall agree, working families deserve to keep more of what they earn. That’s why I voted to deliver tax relief by eliminating taxes on tips and overtime, expanding the child tax credit, and helping families keep more money in their pockets.

Encouraged to see the U.S. House pass @RepDaveTaylor and my bill today to designate the post office in Georgetown, Ohio, as the Ulysses S. Grant Post Office Building.   This is an important step toward honoring Ohio’s rich history and the leaders who helped shape our state and nation.   I look forward to passing this bill in the Senate and getting it signed into law.

Tina and I are deeply saddened by the death of our friend, Senator Lindsey Graham. The news came as a profound shock. It is hard to believe that someone so full of life could be taken so suddenly. In my brief time in the U.S. Senate, Lindsey was one of the first people to welcome me and work alongside me on issues of mutual concern. He was a steadfast champion of the men and women of our armed forces, and he loved America deeply. I will miss him greatly. We are praying for his family, friends, staff, and all who are grieving this tremendous loss.
