Councillors have approved plans to buy a modern waste facility - called the Envirohub - on Marsh Barton. This means we’ll be able to upgrade our recycling operations, improve frontline services, and roll out food waste collections across the city more effectively.

Keir Starmer has abandoned plans for the Digital ID to be compulsory. This is a victory for individual liberty against a ghastly, authoritarian government. Reform UK would scrap it altogether.

@Nigel_Farage @Keir_Starmer This was not in the Labour manifesto at the 2024 general election. They have no mandate for ID. It represents a fundamental change in the relationship between the British people and their government and should be subject to people's approval via referendum or general election.

I am firmly opposed to @Keir_Starmer’s digital ID cards. It will make no difference to illegal immigration, but it will be used to control and penalise the rest of us. The state should never have this much power.
