On March 19, 2011, NATO entered Libya under the banner of “human rights” and “protecting civilians.” What followed was an eight-month war involving 44 countries that destroyed the Libyan state and opened the door to ongoing chaos. This is not just about what happened, but about the deeper question: how were slogans of liberation turned into a cover for intervention, and why did so many remain silent or even support it? The consequences did not stop at Libya. They spread across the region, fueling instability, militias, and prolonged conflict. Fifteen years later, the question remains: when will we regain our direction and rebuild a path toward unity, sovereignty, and liberation? on.rt.com/dmd1

newzimbabwe.com/will-trump-hel… The idea that Zimbabwe should now incur massive debt to compensate former colonial beneficiaries is not only unjust; it is economically reckless and politically dangerous. It would shackle future generations to a burden they did not create, diverting scarce resources away from development, education, healthcare, and infrastructure. It would effectively punish the descendants of the oppressed for daring to reclaim what was rightfully theirs.

The Cuban people are facing an acute and existential crisis following Donald Trump's January 2025 executive order threatening tariffs against countries supplying oil to the island, weaponising fuel access to force regime change by the end of 2026. This intimidation, combined with the seizure of Venezuelan oil tankers, has cut off Cuba's imported fuel supply, which provides half its electricity generation. Hospitals have cancelled non-urgent care and lack fuel for ambulances, schools and universities have closed, transport has collapsed, food production and distribution are disrupted, and persistent electricity blackouts have made daily life extremely difficult. The UN Human Rights Office has warned that essential services are at risk, with intensive care units and emergency rooms compromised, water pumping equipment failing, and the most vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by a fuel shortage that threatens to cause deaths on a mass scale through the deliberate denial of basic necessities. Sanctions have long been central to US imperialism. Studies published in The Lancet Global Health have calculated that unilateral sanctions cause over half a million deaths worldwide every year, and that US and EU sanctions from 1970 to 2021 resulted in 38 million deaths. Many countries have benefited from Cuban internationalism. Since 1960, over 600,000 Cuban medical professionals have served in more than 180 countries across the Global South, saving and improving millions of lives. South Africa and Namibia owe a particular debt to Cuba. Between 1975 and 1991, hundreds of thousands of Cuban soldiers served in Angola. In March 1988, over fifty thousand Cuban troops defeated South Africa's army at Cuito Cuanavale, forcing the withdrawal from Angola and Namibia and opening the way for liberation. As Nelson Mandela stated, "Cuito Cuanavale marks the divide in the struggle for the liberation of southern Africa." 2,070 Cubans gave their lives in this battle. On 21 March, people around the world will rally in support of the Cuban people. There will be protests and pickets at US embassies and consulates, cultural events, discussion groups and messages of solidarity recorded on video. *Join the global day of action and stand with the Cuban people!*

In Defense of Cuba and Socialism On January 1st, 1959,the revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro Ruz and the Argentinian  doctor, Che Guevara, took power on the island of Cuba signalling the emergence of the first  “Socialist State” in the  Western Hemisphere. This occurred just 90 miles from the United States of America (US), the bastion of capitalism and imperialism. The emerging Cuban revolution prompted the imperialists to take decisive actions to prevent the spread of socialism in the western hemisphere. Invoking the 200 year old Monroe Doctrine, the US and its allies launched a multi-pronged strategy of economic warfare, military intimidation, and aggressive “diplomacy” to defeat the Cuban revolutionaries and ensure total US dominance of the Western Hemisphere. They wanted to crush any aspirations the people had toward self determination, sovereignty and socialism. Cuba’s revolution has not been  defeated, and the people throughout the rest of the hemisphere continue to aspire to freedom and justice. Presently, on top of the illegal blockade that the US has enforced against Cuba for over six decades, the US is actively working to cause mass starvation and a complete failure of Cuba’s infrastructure. Recently, the US’ latest “emergency” Executive Orders prevent the island nation of Cuba, from importing oil or any energy sources needed to survive. The US threatens to impose crippling tariffs on all goods imported from any country that supplies oil to Cuba. The US is further working to sever Cuba’s global lifelines, particularly its energy supply, by coercing its remaining allies into submission. This has led to a catastrophic energy crisis; airports running out of jet fuel, 20-hour blackouts, public transportation grinding to a halt, and a canceling of cultural events. Without access to fuel, homes will be left without power for light, refrigeration, and cooking, medical facilities and hospitals will be unable to function, schools will be unable to operate, and distribution of critical supplies such as food and medicine will cease. And while all of Cuba’s people suffer under these inhumane conditions, the children, the ill, and the elderly will find survival difficult. Since its inception, the government and people of Cuba have demonstrated socialist humanism and internationalism. Cuba’s generosity to its neighbors and the world is most powerfully demonstrated through its international medical missions. For over six decades, Cuba has sent over 605,000 healthcare professionals to serve in 165 countries, often to the most vulnerable and disaster-stricken regions, prioritizing humanitarian aid over political or economic gain. Beyond sending doctors, Cuba shares its advanced medical knowledge. It has active collaboration agreements in health, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals with numerous countries, including members of the BRICS bloc like Egypt and Brazil, focusing on technology transfer and drug production. Cuba also provides opportunities to students around the world to attend the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), the largest medical college in the world. ELAM has graduated over 30,000 physicians from vulnerable communities free of charge, ensuring that the knowledge and commitment to medical care is spread worldwide. The US is now actively pressuring nations to terminate contracts with Cuban medical brigades, labeling the program as “forced labor” and a form of human trafficking that enriches the Cuban government. The nations that welcome the medical brigades argue the program provides essential medical services to underserved areas and they recognize the US actions to be devoid of all humanitarian concern. Cuba, understanding her people’s African roots and culture, sent troops to aid in national liberation struggles against colonialism in Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Mozambique, Angola, as well as advisors to the Congo. Thus demonstrating Cuba’s willingness to shed blood in the service of African Liberation. These are but a few of the countless examples of Cuba’s service to humanity. These examples demonstrate to the world the superiority of socialism as a system which promotes peace, justice, and humanitarianism. This is precisely why the US fears Cuba; not for its military might, but for its symbolic power of defiance and its historical success in forging an independent path. It is a global example of a nation that uses its human and material resources to benefit and serve the people, not to exploit them for corporate profit. From the US imperialist perspective, as long as Cuba exists as a sovereign, socialist state closely allied with strategic rivals, it remains an obstacle to US regional hegemony. The current campaigns represent the latest chapter in imperialism’s long-standing effort to resolve this “anomaly” by strangling the revolution and bringing Cuba back under US domination. In short, the new policies represent a fundamental shift from a policy of embargo and isolation to one of aggressive, unilateral coercion against the entire international community to enforce a total blockade on Cuba. The goal is not just to pressure the Cuban government, but to actively engineer its demise by cutting off its ability to power its society. As the US government intensifies its illegal, immoral, coercive economic measures, the world has an increased moral obligation to defend Cuba and its people from the US’ attempt to crush it. The nations and people of the world must stand up against the severe US imposed crisis. The Cuban government and the Cuban people have not committed any crime, have not engaged in any act of aggression, and do not pose any threat against any nation. Yet they are being subjected to an illegal, deadly collective punishment. The US’ recent executive order is forcing other sovereign states to alter their lawful commercial relations with Cuba, under threat of punitive trade measures, in direct violation of the principles of sovereign equality and non-intervention. Many nations are afraid to confront the United States, but some are refusing to sit idly by. Nations including Mexico, China, and Brazil have defied the US threats and coercion by providing direct aid of food and medicine. Russia and Chile have pledged aid in the form of oil and funds.  The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) recently approved a new cooperation plan for Cuba, officially titled the “Country Programme for Cuba 2026-2030.” This strategic framework was approved by the UNDP’s Executive Board on February 5, 2026, with overwhelming international support and the sole dissenting vote from the United States. But the world must do more to respond to this emergency. If the world permits these actions against Cuba to continue without consequence, no nation can expect to be protected by the international principles of self-determination, non-interference, and prohibition of force. Failure to act against imperialism’s illegal blockade normalizes relations based on power, coercion, and the constant threat of intervention, placing every nation in the world at risk. The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) represents 33 nations that have the power to speak with one voice on issues of sovereignty, peace, and regional autonomy. CELAC has articulated collective opposition to the military force exerted by the US in the Caribbean. It has reaffirmed a sustained diplomatic offensive to defend the Zone of Peace, and express solidarity with Venezuela and Cuba. But words are not enough. Like Mexico, it’s time for nations to show solidarity through unconditional assistance to fulfill basic humanitarian needs. The many nations of Africa who continue to benefit from the generosity of Cuban medical brigades, and those who received material and military support from Cuba during their wars of liberation from colonialism must step forward and defy the illegal blockade in every way possible. Even European nations, despite their histories of colonialism and imperialism, have historically supported the end of the illegal blockade against Cuba. They must take decisive action against the US, otherwise they become complicit in the United States’ crime against humanity. The US has aggressively and repeatedly threatened Europe over its dealings in the Western Hemisphere, most notably its threats to “take” Greenland. The current expansion of the Monroe Doctrine is the latest—and most forceful—chapter in this long-running transatlantic dispute over sovereignty, international law, and the right to control the destiny of nations in the Americas. Those within the borders of the US must not only raise their collective voices of outrage, but also actively engage in political activity to stop US imperial aspirations. People must take to the streets to demonstrate our support and oppose US imperialism. We must inform our neighbors and friends who may not understand the urgency of this matter. We must work tirelessly to discourage youth from serving in the imperialist US military. We must work to dispel the lies that are being used to justify the cruel tactics being employed in the Caribbean and Latin American regions. The achievements by the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuba State will be forever etched into the glorious history of the progress of humanity. The All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (A-APRP) comes to the defense of Cuba and Socialism around the battle of ideas, especially now as imperialism seeks to strike every nation that is on the path to socialism and that is fighting to defeat imperialism. We call on labor unions to openly declare their opposition to US imperialism in general and the cruel oppressive attacks on Cuba in particular. We call on governments to show courage, not just by speaking out, but by taking action. We call on parties, students, workers, solidarity movements, and individual people to mobilize in active campaigns to resist imperialism’s siege! The U.S. imperialists have set up a blockade to prevent any nation from shipping oil to Cuba, effectively cutting off their fuel sources. The People’s Republic of China has decided to assist Cuba with “Solar Panels” to help keep the electrical grid functioning. Recognizing that they can blockade oil tankers, but “they cannot blockade the sun”, supporters are working to rush solar generators and panels so that hospitals can keep their doors open and their lights on. To address this urgent need to generate energy they have asked people to donate to the “Solar Panel Fund” below. Letcubalive.info/donate  To donate by check:They can blockade oil tankers, but “they cannot blockade the sun”. Make check payable to: The People’s Forum On the memo line write: “Urgent Aid.” Do not write the word Cuba on your check! Mail to: The People’s Forum, 320 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018 All donations are tax deductible We call on all parties, students, workers, solidarity movements and individual people to support Cuba in whatever way you are capable of. No contribution is too small. The All African People’s Revolutionary Party reaffirms our support for the nations of Venezuela and Cuba. We strongly condemn the acts of military and economic warfare being waged against the people of both nations in the attempt to defeat their revolutionary process. We salute the people of Venezuela and Cuba for their steadfast resistance in the face of the latest round of US imperialist crimes against humanity. We stand in unfaltering solidarity.  We understand clearly that the US’ attacks on Cuba and Venezuela are only a part of the global imperialists’ attacks on humanity. From Somalia, Guinea Bissau, Sudan, to Gaza, Yemen, Syria and Iran the masses of people have taken up this fight in pursuit of a final end to imperialist domination of the world. We salute all who stand in this way for justice, peace and freedom. Together imperialism will be defeated and we will change the entire world into a Zone of Peace.

IRAN: A CONSISTENT FRIEND OF THE ALLIANCE OF SAHEL STATES Few countries have been as consistent in their allyship and camaraderie to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger as the Islamic Republic of Iran. Burkina Faso's minister of foreign affairs has stated that the Burkina Faso-Iran relationship is a "top priority" due to the countries' “friendly and brotherly” relations. Niger has received many important military technologies from Iran as part of recent trade deals, and Malian and Burkinabé students are currently improving their Farsi to prepare for advanced studies in Tehran. In this video, we explore the friendship between Iran and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) in recent years and how some of the AES countries have responded to recent US-Israeli attacks on Iran, resulting in the assassination of Iranian Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. @venanalysis @VoxUmmah @qiaocollective @ProgIntl @blkagendareport @OrinocoTribune @KawsachunNews

Ideological subversion has weakened or killed off more political movements and anti-imperialist states than weapons have. As Kwame Ture said, The West destroyed the U.S.S.R without firing a single shot at them. Emphasis on ideological training and building political armor at the mass level is mission critical. Deemphasis on ideological training gives support to the agenda of the enemy. Whether intentionally or unintentionally

One piece of history that rarely gets talked about is the respect Iran has shown for the legacy of Malcolm X. In 1984, the Islamic Republic of Iran issued the world’s first postage stamp honoring Malcolm X for the “Universal Day of Struggle Against Racial Discrimination.” The stamp portrayed Malcolm as a symbol of resistance against racism and oppression. What’s striking is that Iran honoured Malcolm X 15 years before the United States did. America didn’t release its own Malcolm X postage stamp until 1999. Following the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Iran’s leadership often pointed to Malcolm X as a figure who represented the struggle of oppressed people, particularly Black people in America. To them, Malcolm stood as a voice against racial injustice and Western domination. Over the years, Iranian media and cultural institutions have continued to commemorate him. Even Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has referred to Malcolm X as a martyr in the fight against oppression. Agree or disagree with Iran politically, the historical fact remains: while Malcolm X was still controversial in much of America, Iran publicly honored him and openly expressed solidarity with the struggle of Black people in the United States. And they did it 15 years before America officially recognized him.

The world must loudly condemn the Zionist-backed paedophile and war-monger, Trump, whose actions have left a trail of human suffering. His relentless pursuit of imperialist agendas fuels wars, oppression, and the violation of innocent lives. Exploiting power for greed and depravity, he stands as a threat to global peace and morality. From child abuse allegations to inciting violence, his record is a dark testament to corruption. Humanity must resist and hold him accountable for his crimes against justice and decency.

The world today stands at a dangerous crossroads. The language of a “rules-based order” is repeated endlessly by Western capitals, yet their actions expose a brutal contradiction. What we are witnessing is not a rules-based order but a power-based disorder, where international law applies to some nations but not to others. From Gaza to Tehran, from Havana to Caracas, the pattern is unmistakable: the United States and its closest allies preach democracy while practising domination. For Africa and the Global South, this contradiction is not theoretical. It is a lived reality, written in decades of sanctions, military interventions, economic coercion and political manipulation. The current crises shaking the world only confirm what many in the developing world have long understood: the international system dominated by Washington is collapsing under the weight of its own hypocrisy.

March 1st, 2026 WE CONDEMN IMPERIALIST ATTACKS AGAINST IRAN The All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (A-APRP) condemns the United States’ and the zionist settler entity's (Israel’s) unprovoked war against the people of Iran, and the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top Iranian leadership. This is a flagrant act of aggression against a sovereign state that demonstrates the rogue and brutal nature of both nuclear powers: the United States and the zionist entity (Israel). Exemplifying their deplorable depravity was the deliberate targeting of a girl’s elementary school in Iran, resulting in the slaughter of over 100 children and the injuring of over 60 more. These acts of imperialist domination are blatant violations of international law. Their goal is to eliminate any opposition to the expansion of the settler zionist entity (Israel) and the United States, their unfettered occupation of Palestine, and control of the Southwestern Asian and Mediterranean region (often mislabeled the Middle East). We have witnessed a recent pattern of similar actions which characterize the attempt to usher in a dangerous shift in the world order where there are no rules, no restraint, no diplomacy, only military power as the basis of international relations. Over the past year, the US has conducted military strikes on Yemen, Somalia, Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kenya, and Venezuela, where they kidnapped and illegally arrested the democratically elected President Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The US continues to threaten Greenland, Mexico, Cuba, and Colombia in the Western Hemisphere with a similar fate. They continue to aggressively and coercively meddle in the affairs of Azania (So. Africa), Uganda, Nigeria, and other African nations. During the same period, the zionist entity has bombed, invaded, or conducted military strikes in Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Qatar. Most notably, in Palestine, the zionist entity has reduced much of Gaza to rubble and forced the suffering and displacement of millions of people. The most recent attack against Iran, along with these other events, cannot be viewed in isolation. This escalation of militarism reflects a continuation of a fascist vision led by US imperialism. What’s new is the approach in which imperialism exerts rapid, massive military force, bypassing more representative structures such as the UN or even legislative bodies. Iran and all the other attacked nations have been severely weakened by decades of economic sanctions. These sanctions can result in dissatisfaction by the population, often aimed against the very government that imperialism is waging the economic warfare rather than the source of the problem, US led sanctions. This process is clearly explained in the following quote by the organization Sanctions Kill: Sanctions are imposed by the United States and its junior partners against countries that resist their agendas. They are a weapon of Economic War, resulting in chronic shortages of basic necessities, economic dislocation, chaotic hyperinflation, artificial famines, disease, and poverty. In every country, the poorest and the weakest – infants, children, the chronically ill and the elderly – suffer the worst impact of sanctions.US imposed sanctions, violate international law and are a tool of regime change. They impact a third of humanity in 39 countries. They are a crime against humanity used, like military intervention, to topple popular governments and movements. They provide economic and military support to pro-US right-wing forces. The US economic dominance and its more than 800 military bases worldwide demands all other countries participate in acts of economic strangulation. They must end all normal trade relations, otherwise they risk having Wall Street’s guns pointed at them… . Also significant is the long history of imperialism’s intervention in Iran’s sovereignty. Iran's geo-strategic location and vast oil reserves are why it is subjected to aggressive economic and military leverage to keep it aligned with imperialist strategic interests. Following the 1951 nationalization of Iran's oil industry, Britain organized a worldwide embargo on Iranian oil, froze its assets, and blocked its trade. This created the conditions for the 1953 coup orchestrated by the US CIA and British M16 agencies, which overthrew Iran’s democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh and installed US backed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as the Shah of Iran. This coup restored control of Iran’s oil to external, imperialist forces. The embargo was lifted once the Shah was installed, creating the illusion that the Shah had ushered in prosperity. That illusion was hollow, and the people knew that they weren’t free. In 1979, revolutionary forces in Iran overthrew the puppet government of the Shah. Since then, Iran has been subjected to every possible form of attempted destabilization including direct military force. The US froze billions of dollars of Iranian assets worldwide, and imposed a trade embargo, increasing its sanctions over the decades. And like in 1953, this has created severe economic hardships, driving the people into the streets in mass demonstrations. It is within this context that imperialism launched a major military attack on a weakened Iran. We are asked to believe that Iran threatened the region and the world because of its nuclear program, but we must not be deceived by this pretext. The attackers, the US and zionist entity (Israel) are both major nuclear powers, with the US being the only nation in the history of the world that has used nuclear weapons, killing over a quarter of a million innocent, unarmed Japanese civilians with nuclear bombs in 1945. Neither Iran, nor any other nation in the world, has ever killed a single person with nuclear weapons. That distinction belongs to the US alone! Despite the recent demonstrations in Iran, we know that the masses of Iranian people are not seeking US domination. They are seeking the right to decide their political, economic, and social future, without foreign interference. They seek stability, genuine sovereignty, and self-determination. They seek freedom from aggression by the US, the zionist entity (Israel), and their allied forces. The people in Iran as elsewhere will always resist domination and oppression. In that spirit, Iran launched strikes against the vast US military installations across the region. The A-APRP supports the right of the Iranian people, the axis of resistance, and all allied forces to resist imperialist aggression. We stand in solidarity with Iran and the Iranian people, and all those who condemn this act of imperialist terror.
