Når en byråd søker toppjobber i det skjulte mens han sitter med ansvaret for skolen i Bergen og viser hvor lojaliteten ligger. Daniel Hägglund må nå gå av og saken viser nok en gang at politikk ofte brukes som et springbrett for egen karriere heller enn som en tjene folket.
Vi ser politikere som er mest opptatt av neste post på sin egen CV. Dette er et svik mot velgerne som forventer dedikasjon.

This is a genuine radio ad from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), a longstanding charity that funds Jewish immigration (Aliyah) to Israel.
They run similar ads asking for $35 donations to "rescue one precious Jew" via flights costing around $710 each.
Not a skit just their standard fundraising pitch.
While our own people across the West are starving & are living on the streets, they want Westerners to ‘sponsor a Jew’ & pay for their flights.

My thoughts often go to Yugoslavia and its transition process to different independent nation states. I fear this will be worse.

Perhaps some partook in US slavery? Like the Somalis most Norwegians moved to Minnesota. Was there a lot of cotton picking there?

@HollyGrayle I made this conclusion myself about 25yrs ago. Same with the Israeli/Palestine conflict. This has been going on, and argued about for all of my 50 trips around the sun and is not an inch closer to any resolution. I have just completely lost faith in the boomer view of the world.

I'm just not sure that I really have the bandwidth to care anymore. For my entire life, I've been fed the idea that if we provide food, medicine, money, and infrastructure to Africans, then they will eventually find their way out of their miserable situation. But they haven't and in all likelihood, they never will. In fact, everything we do to help them just seems to make it even worse.
No one - absolutely no one - takes pleasure in seeing children starve. But the constant violence and war and killing and raping and starving and poverty and illness...it's just neverending. I'm at the point where I just think we need to let nature take its course and let their population naturally reduce to a level they can independently sustain.
We can't fix these people, and we're going to have to just accept that killing each other is just how they go about their lives.
