📢 Today is World Rabies Day 2023 themed “All for 1 #OneHealth for All”. Every year, rabies claims the lives of approximately 25,000 individuals 👨🏾👩🏾👦🏿in Africa, with nearly 40% of these tragic deaths affecting children under the age of 15.

If you are bitten by a dog or wild animal, prevent #rabies by washing wounds thoroughly for a minimum of 15 minutes with soap 🧼 and water 💧, detergent, povidone iodine or other substances that kill the rabies virus. #WorldRabiesDay
