Yesterday, I paid a condolence visit to the home Usman Abdullahi (Shaga). He suddenly passed away a few days ago at a reasonably young age. Our relationship dated back to 2023 where he alongside other people mobilised numerous people to our cause. I always enjoy visiting Adamawa Road, Gaji Ward. But not under such circumstances. As someone that has just recently experienced a loss, I understand the grief his two wives and the entire family are going through. Nevertheless, from God we came, and to God we return. His will must never be questioned. Despite not having any children of own, he adopted many orphans as his. A display of his compassion and kindness. We will be taking the burden of their education by the grace of God. May Allah SWT bless his gentle soul. I will miss his advice, support and our many fights. On behalf of the people of Kaduna North that I humbly represent, we grieve with his family.
Signed
Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
Member.
Kaduna North Federal Constituency
Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations.

BREAKING: President Tinubu holds separate closed-door meetings with former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and former Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar
Badaru, a former governor of Jigawa State and ex-minister of defence, has been in a running battle with Governor Namadi over APC's structure in Jigawa. This battle led to the dropping of Badaru's nominee, Bashir Gumel, as the APC National Financial Secretary with Governor Namadi nominating another person to take over the role.
Badaru has also been rumoured to be considering a defection to the ADC, but the former governor has denied any plans to do so.
Ganduje, on the other hand, is expected to remain in the APC as the former governor and former APC National Chairman has no plans to defect to the ADC coalition.
Ganduje is also expected to nominate the next deputy governor of Kano State following the resignation of Aminu Gwarzo, with his preferred candidate rumoured to be Murtala Garo but there are rumours that the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibrin Fagore, might also be interested in the seat.
