Heartiest congratulations to Mr. To Lam on his election as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. I am confident that under his leadership, the time-tested friendship between our two countries will continue to grow from strength to strength. I look forward to working closely together to further deepen our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the progress and prosperity of our people and the region.

Deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden demise of my friend and the former President of Suriname, Mr. Chandrikapersad Santokhi Ji. This is not only an irreparable loss to Suriname but also to the global Indian diaspora.
I fondly recall my many meetings with him. His tireless service for Suriname and his efforts in strengthening India-Suriname relations were clearly reflected in our interactions. He had a special fondness for Indian culture. He won several hearts when he took oath in Sanskrit.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of Suriname in this hour of grief. Om Shanti.
Sharing some glimpses from our various interactions…

People come from across the world to see Rajasthan’s palaces and forts rising into the sky.
But one of its most remarkable sights does the exact opposite.
It goes deep into the ground.
Chand Baori, in Abhaneri, was built over a thousand years ago. It drops nearly 30 metres across 13 levels and about 3,500 precisely arranged steps making it one of the deepest and largest stepwells in the world.
But what impresses most isn’t just the scale, it’s the thinking.
We talk a lot today about “design thinking” which is essentially solving problems by blending empathy, function and design so seamlessly that the solution becomes an art form.
While the stepwell fills the basic need of water, what emerges is almost hypnotic symmetry.
This is design thinking, centuries before we gave it a name.
Back then, it was simply… wisdom.

Received a call from President Trump and had a useful exchange of views on the situation in West Asia. India supports de-escalation and restoration of peace at the earliest. Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, secure and accessible is essential for the whole world. We agreed to stay in touch regarding efforts towards peace and stability.

In Thiruvananthapuram stands the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, where architecture meets astronomy.
On equinoxes, the setting sun aligns precisely with the temple’s structure, appearing through a sequence of windows in timed intervals, an event often described as “Suryasmaranam.”
Built centuries ago, but it reflects a sophisticated understanding of solar movement, geometry and orientation.
Comforting that science and spirituality weren’t separate pursuits. They coexisted, and often reinforced each other.
I’m putting this firmly on my own urgent bucket list: to be there on one of the two equinox days. I missed the spring equinox just this past friday. But I have two chances every year.
Calendar marked.

In an era of ‘instant’ everything, I find myself more interested in what lasts.
Endurance isn’t about being the fastest; it’s about a foundation that doesn’t shake when the wind tries to blow you down.
Rediscovering our 1945 founding principles was a “Back-to-the-Future” moment for me. It reminded me that purpose isn't something you "graft" onto a company, but a lens for every decision.
My reflections with @McKinsey on the values that keep us steady:

True corporate purpose acts as a filter for high-stakes strategy. In our latest #LeadingAsia interview, @anandmahindra shares how the Mahindra Group uses its “Rise” philosophy to maintain strategic clarity across its global federation of businesses. mck.co/4bqh9Oi

In the early 1990s, we set ourselves a simple aspiration: to build Mahindra into a globally respected company.
It felt ambitious then. But we believed that if we stayed true to our values, built the right culture, and grew with discipline, global respect would follow.
Three decades later, it’s deeply gratifying to see us ranked #5 in TIME’s Asia-Pacific Best Companies 2026.
Up from #115 last year & the highest-ranked Indian company on the list.
My congratulations to Anish Shah and the leadership team, and my thanks to every Mahindra associate who makes RISE real every day.
And as always, ‘Miles to go before we sleep…’

Proud moment for India. Mahindra ranked #5 on the TIME–Statista Asia-Pacific Best Companies 2026 list and the only Indian company in the Top 5. Built by people. Driven by purpose. #TogetherWeRise

I’ve often used the Samudra Manthan as a metaphor that is invaluable in business and policy-making.
Because whenever you churn deeply, whether in society, business, or within yourself, the first thing that often surfaces is toxicity.
The Amrit comes later.
When facing turbulence,
Strength comes not from spreading the toxicity.
But from containing it.
When poison rose from the ocean, Lord Shiva did not react in anger.
He absorbed & held it.
May we all cultivate stillness, resilience and the courage to transform.
Best wishes to you all on the auspicious occasion of #MahaShivratri2026

UIDAI has deactivated more than 2 crore Aadhaar numbers of deceased individuals as part of a nationwide effort to maintain the continued accuracy of the Aadhaar database.
UIDAI has sourced deceased persons data from Registrar General of India (RGI), States/UTs, Public Distribution System, National Social Assistance Program among others. It is also looking to collaborate with financial institutions and other such entities for getting deceased persons data.
No Aadhaar number is ever re-assigned to another individual. However, in case of the death of a person, it is essential that his/her Aadhaar number is deactivated to prevent potential identity fraud, or unauthorised usage of such Aadhaar number for availing welfare benefits.
