▪️𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗞𝗼𝘂𝗳𝗶𝗲 (18) @KerryFC
A constant attacking threat in Kerry’s 1-0 win over Finn Harps, Eric's quality in the final third proved decisive. The 18-year-old delivered a composed & energetic performance, capped by an excellent assist for the winning goal with a well-placed cross from the left. Direct, effective & influential throughout.
▪️𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲 (21) @BOREHAM_WOODFC
Ayinde delivered a MOTM performance in Boreham Wood’s 3-0 win over Gateshead on Saturday. Operating from the right, he opened the scoring with a composed finish after reacting quickly to a long ball & continued to cause problems throughout with his pace & direct running. He later turned provider with an assist & was unfortunate not to add another, striking the crossbar in the second half.
▪️𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗵 𝗢’𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹 @ckutdfc MU20's
While the headlines went to the Brazilian Junior for his spectacular volley type goal in CK United's impressive 2-0 home victory over Bray Wanderers MU20s, it was O’Neill in goal who quietly stole the show. The young goalkeeper produced a string of outstanding saves, keeping Bray Wanderers at bay & earning his first clean sheet of the season. Composed, alert & commanding, he was a rock between the posts.
▪️𝗚𝗯𝗲𝗺𝗶 𝗔𝗿𝘂𝗯𝗶 (21) @DundalkFC
Arubi made a decisive impact in Dundalk’s 1–1 draw away to Bohemians, scoring the second-half equaliser. He showed sharp instincts to attack the cross, beating the goalkeeper in the air to register his third goal of the season & remained a threat throughout. He was also unlucky not to add a second, denied by a strong save.
▪️𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻 (21) @UCDAFC
A constant outlet in UCD's 1-0 defeat to Cork City on Friday. Operating from the wing with his direct running & pace he repeatedly carried the ball into dangerous areas, beating defenders & creating openings, while also coming close himself on multiple occasions. His movement & energy ensured UCD remained a threat. While the final finish eluded him, his overall impact & ability to stretch the game stood out.
▪️𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗺𝗲𝗵 (18) @SLBenfica U19's
On his 18th birthday, Umeh delivered a standout performance on the left wing in Benfica U19s’ 3-2 UEFA Youth League quarter-final win away to Inter Milan. He combined pace, composure & creativity throughout, notably providing a brilliant left-footed assist for Freitas’ header that doubled Benfica’s lead. Constantly probing the Inter defence, he was a key factor in one of the club’s biggest youth victories of the season.
▪️𝗢𝘀𝗮𝘇𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗵𝘂𝗲 (21) @LongfordTownFC
Irhue played a pivotal role in Longford Town’s first win of the season, scoring the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Wexford FC. Showing excellent timing & composure, he connected perfectly with a flighted cross to head home & seal a much needed victory for Longford Town.

🏆 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗵𝘆 (16) @CorkCityFC
Still just 16, Murphy claims this week’s award after delivering a decisive, match-winning contribution in Cork City’s 1-0 victory away to UCD & scoring his first senior league goal for the club.
In a game where Cork City controlled large spells but needed a cutting edge, it was Murphy’s awareness that proved decisive. Positioned intelligently on the edge of the box, he reacted quickest to a loose clearance following Josh Fitzpatrick’s low delivery, took a composed touch & finished clinically with his left foot to turn a half-chance into the winning moment.
Beyond the goal, his performance reflected growing confidence. After a quieter opening period, he became more involved, taking responsibility in possession & contributing more consistently in the final third. A standout performance & a significant early milestone in his development.

Manchester United attacker Ben Lyne marked his Ireland U15 debut with two goals against the Netherlands in the opening game of their triple-header, a bright individual return despite the result. He later captained the side in the third game of the triple-header on Friday, rounding off an impressive international week.
▪️𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆 (18) @shelsfc U20s
James Bailey continued his sensational start to the season with another hat-trick as Shelbourne U20s secured a 3-2 away win over Galway United on Saturday.
The Shels captain has now scored seven goals in Shels first three League games of the season underlining the outstanding form he’s had in front of goal.
▪️𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗻 (18) @ShamrockRovers
New signing Adam Brennan made an immediate impact as Shamrock Rovers beat Derry City 1-0 Friday evening. The 18-year-old’s pace, skill & confidence stood out & he won the decisive 80th-minute penalty that Dylan Watts converted. A bright start for Adam at his new club, hinting at a key role this season.
▪️𝗖𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀 (21) @TreatyUnitedFC
Cian Curtis scored both goals as Treaty United earned their first point of the 2026 First Division season with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Kerry FC. Curtis first levelled after a long throw wasn’t cleared, before calmly converting a last-minute penalty to secure the draw. Leading the line in a 4-3-3, he was lively throughout, constantly probing & helping drive Treaty forward as they fought back twice.
▪️𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 (18) @CPFCAcademy U21s
Crystal Palace U21s bounced back from consecutive Premier League 2 defeats with a 2-1 away win over Blackburn Rovers, with centre-back George King playing a key role. King was instrumental defensively and also made his mark at the other end, scoring with a right-footed finish converting Rio Cardines’ pull-back to double Palace’s lead.
▪️𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘆 (19) Dunfermline Athletic
Freddie Turley impressed as Dunfermline Athletic produced a huge upset with a 3-0 victory over Aberdeen to reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals. Freddie played 81 minutes at right-back & continues to grow into senior football with another impressive display.
▪️𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗻 @CorkCityFC MU17's

▪️𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀 @shelsfc

However, this weeks Young Irish Player of the Week is..
🏆 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗽𝘂𝗿 (16) Bohemians U20s
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Josh Harpur after a sensational five-goal performance in Bohemians U20's comprehensive win over Longford Town on Saturday afternoon.
Harpur opened his account from the penalty spot before adding a second with a well-taken header at the back post. His fourth showed real striker’s instinct, collecting the ball between two centre-backs, pushing it past them, rounding the goalkeeper and calmly slotting home. He completed his haul by reacting quickest to a second ball from a corner, nodding in from close range.
The striker has now taken his tally to six goals in Bohs MU20 opening three league games. A natural finisher with sharp instincts in the box, Harpur plays the role of a traditional number 9. Strong, athletic & always looking to run the shoulder of defenders & attack the penalty area. His work rate and aggressive mindset make the current Ireland U17 international a constant threat.

Incredible to see 16 year old Glen Ilunga make his u21 debut for Burnley yesterday vs Stockport County.
Glen started the game at CB & then moved into a defensive midfield role.
Since joining Burnley, Glen has already made big strides by training with the first team.

I think a new star might be born at Turner’s Cross this season - Cillian Murphy looks like the next breakout talent at Cork City!🌟
It feels like every year Cork produce another young gem and Murphy could be the one in 2026. In recent seasons we’ve seen the likes of Jaden Umeh and Cathal O’Sullivan emerge, and now the spotlight looks to be shifting toward the 16-year-old midfielder.
He came off the bench last night and was excellent in Cork’s 1-0 win over Treaty United, playing a big role in the winning goal and showing real composure on the ball. Technically superb, comfortable anywhere across midfield - whether deeper, further forward or drifting wide, he looks a seriously promising prospect.
Didn’t travel with the Ireland U17s this week as he’s viewed as an important part of Cork City’s first-team plans, which says everything about how highly he’s rated already. If early signs are anything to go by, this could be the season we see a young talent truly blossom in Cork.
