@pauldehnerjr The Bengals tend to favor people that have “off the field” issues.

Zac Taylor fielded multiple questions about why he was comfortable with the off-field issues that Colbie Young experienced at Georgia and made strong statements supporting their vetting and Young's character.
A repeated talking point was the UGA returned Young to play after the suspension and battery/assault charges.
Taylor on why he was comfortable with the character on WR Colbie Young:
"Talking to all the humans we talked to that really stood on the table for him and Georgia returned him to play. Georgia went through the whole process, returned him to play. We just felt really comfortable with the person we are adding to our locker room, the person we are adding to our community, just all of us getting to know the kid. We feel really, really comfortable with bringing Colbie in here and I think once you all get to know him you will see the same thing we see."
"We have a lot of people that have done a lot of research on him. We feel really good about all the information we got and if we didn’t feel comfortable we wouldn’t have done it. We are comfortable with the process he’s gone through."
Taylor on any lessons learned during over the year in vetting off-field issues:
"There’s been times I’ve signed up for great risk in the past. I’ve put my hand up when maybe there are some of those red flags up there. This is one that I feel great about because you go through the process of the last seven years, guys I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with once we got them in here and guys I wanted and sometimes it’s more difficult than others. This is one I feel great about. And I feel great everyone is going to feel that."

@JamesRapien I do like him better than Stewart. I guess there can be an upside to Stewart but I’m not sure. He could be another bust like Burton.

@FlocksKrypto @DrewGarrison He seemed to have high praise for him due to his size.

@ABigFan4Bengals @DrewGarrison Did Saban say he like Davis?
English

@JamesRapien That “assistant GM” looks like he could be Duke's relation some how?
English

@DrewGarrison @Wrightreportt Oh, so they will be going linebacker 3rd round?
English

That’s @Wrightreportt guy.
We were on the phone about him at midnight. Demon.

@JoeGoodberry Will the bengals still have cap space to do anything in free agency? Even after the draft?
English

I've gone back and forth on IF they will prioritize LB in the draft.
But, nothing Al Golden says here is a sign that they won't prioritize a LB.
Teams have a long history of talking up players and positions right before drafting that same position.

@JamesRapien Unfortunately, I see Burrow retiring at 34-35… I hope we are able to find another Joey B in the coming years.

I think Joe Burrow’s 30th birthday has a bigger impact on urgency than Mike Brown’s age…🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

@JamesRapien Do you think Mike Brown being 90 yrs old and running out of time to see a SB in his lifetime is adding to the sense of urgency?
