Working on a short film that shows the obvious game theoretic conclusions that the OpenAI team had to face when they cracked the LLM code.

Hey friends, @SuperDebateClub is looking for a founder-level growth and marketing lead. We are building a new cultural arena for structured debate: live events, local clubs, tournaments, digital content, and eventually a national league. The right person is not just a “marketer.” We’re looking for a proven operator who can help make debate feel urgent, social, credible, and culturally relevant again. Someone who understands brand, community, growth loops, partnerships, events, and storytelling. We already have: -A strong founding vision -A working product -An incredible advisory board (including the former Head of Cult at Liquid Death) -Early event traction -A serious roadmap -Active fundraising conversations Now we need the right growth partner to help turn this into a movement. If you know someone who would be excited by the mission of bringing healthy, structured debate back to society at scale, please tag them below or send me their profile.

I thought about this question, when I first started gaining followers. I knew that sooner or later, about something, someone was going to say "Debate me, coward!" Considered a policy of "I don't debate". But the real answer is "We are already debating." If someone is "challenging" me to a debate, here in a public forum, where I can type things, and he can type things, and everyone can read them, then the conversation has already started. Anyone can say whatever he has to say. I am not interested in getting on a stage or a podcast with anyone to have a contest about who can talk over the other guy, or who can think of the snappiest comeback quip the fastest. I've watched enough video clips of Christopher Hitchens being irrelevant and intellectually dishonest. I have absolutely no desire to emulate him. In text, those kinds of tricks don't work. If anyone wants to argue with me, about anything, we're already both connected to the internet. He can write something. I'll respond if I decide it's worth responding to. But I don't have to. Because the point of any debate is the audience. That's who the debaters are speaking to. That's who we all need to convince. It's not a chess game where you try to beat the other guy. It's about spreading your message, convincing people that you are right. That's what we already have this website for.

Andrew, why don't you do more debates? The answer:

Mr. Bezos: Let's have that debate. Under my 5% billionaires wealth tax, we'd: -Give $12K to a working family of 4 -Expand Medicare for dental, vision, hearing -Guarantee universal childcare -Raise starting teacher pay to $60K And you'd still be worth $269 billion after taxes.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

Jeff Bezos on CNBC: "If people want me to pay more billions, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend that that's gonna solve the problem. You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens.... Airbnb isn't causing high rents. What's really causing high rent is government intervention."

We have gyms today because, after the Industrial Revolution, people’s jobs became much less physically demanding. We’re now on track to remove the cognitive friction associated with jobs too. Therefore a new muscle gets weakened: the brain. Once all the research is definitive, people will realize that they need to strengthen that muscle just like any other. And we’ll all be waking up early to get some reps in at the brain gym.

I made a debate mini game for @SuperDebateClub. superdebate.org/draw It's playable via that page. The cards are digital. "Real debate, played like a game. Draw a card, each player crosses out one of the three topics, then argue the survivor for sixty seconds. Whoever the room votes for keeps the card."

Automation is forcing a bigger question than “which jobs disappear?” If machines can do more of the work, what happens to income, dignity, incentives, and purpose? Universal Basic Income used to sound fringe. Now it feels like one of the central debates of the next decade. So here’s the question: Will universal basic income become necessary in the age of automation? What’s your take?

@AlmostMedia I'm annoyed that people keep sharing just this part of the video. It's perfect, yes. But the whole video provides atmosphere for this part. If you like the aesthetics here, the director also directed "Our Day Will Come".

Every major domain of competition has produced a dominant league or platform. Debate hasn’t. That’s the opportunity.
