@YOHAMI @jw_utxo Which properties are debatable for u? I totally agree Cost alone != Value. Cost (difficulty to obtain) is a factor in the equation of Value, with utility being the other key factor in my mind. Both factors are based on perception so belief is the underlying driver of value.

People that don't get the basics on all sides. If I spend $1M recording a song, the song is not worth $1M. Cost is not value. Bitcoin is not backed by energy. That's cost. It costs to produce. Value is psychology - the story. A shared dream. All dreams pop. All of them.

@YOHAMI @jw_utxo We need medium of exchange, one dominant form must prevail. Currency has value if it effectively stores value for exchange. Effective solution = trust and support. Fiat post-gold standard is ineffective. Bitcoin fundamentally has better properties. Better solution = value.

Why going half way on things kills you.

The UK has a far flatter income distribution than the Communist Soviet Union. The UK take home minimum wage for working a full time job (40-hours) is now £22,555. At £100k salary, the take home is £68,558. That is a net income ratio of 3.04:1 We are now at the point where the wage compression and taxes in the UK means that the difference between minimum wage and a top 5% salary is a net income difference of only ~3x. In the USSR using the same comparison, this figure never fell below 5:1 It's actually even worse in reality because the person earning £100k in the UK often has student loans. Britain is nominally capitalist but functionally communist. China is nominally communist but functionally capitalist. Funny how that works.
