@Kingbingo_ Literal insanity. They need to be protected from themselves. And there should be two other caveats. You must be a property owner, and you can’t work for the state (except armed forces).

@NeilDotObrien @realhansard An anathema to hard work. Socialism on steroids, and will obviously bankrupt the country. And the piece de resistance, the largest beneficiaries of this insanity are 3rd worlders. Wildly traitorous behaviour by the regime.

Today's Telegraph reports on some of my research about the growth of really large welfare claims - with over 600k households now getting more in benefits than the average person takes home after tax. Quick thread: (1/10)

Just to be clear: Zack Polanski IS a threat to this country. It’s absurd to think otherwise. Look at Gorton and Denton. Now think about Rochdale, Oldham and Bolton in the next election. City Centre Manchester? Yes, there too. And if it happens in Manchester, it will certainly happen in Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol - and any number of small and medium towns to you care to think of. We’re in a bloody mess.

@Westamsterdam72 @ClarkeMicah Drill music! Are you actually retarded? There’s me watching South Africa under black rule turn back into a 3rd world country, and had no clue all they had to do was ban ‘drill music’! Grow up from Christ sake, you utter clown.

It’s plausible, here, that Tucker just meant ‘some are asking the question’, and this is why he claims he didn’t ask whether Trump could be the Antichrist. But I prefer my theory, which is that Tucker fully inhabits the present moment, to the point where he doesn’t know what he’s going to say next, or what he just said. This is what makes him such a great speaker, and similar to another great speaker, Jonathan Bowden, who ‘heard’ what he was about to say just before he said it. The Tucker interviewed later is, in a sense, not the same person as the one enraptured and engulfed by his own monologue. It’s probably something like asking a fireman exactly what happened when they entered the burning building. Tucker lives, at least during his speeches and monologues, in an instinctive flow state, and nothing he says in this radically subjective context can be expected to stand up to forensic scrutiny at a later date. x.com/RyanSaavedra/s…

@JBerkeleyClarke @PeterMcCormack I supported Farage in the Brexit days, but there is no way I am voting for the UniParty. ps, don’t get carried away with the local election results, where people like me will vote Reform. Restore is the only party, led by Rupert, that has the balls AND will to turn this around.

The U.K. is so utterly cooked. We’re spiralling into a socialist trap. Those promoting it literally have no idea of the hell scape it will produce. I’m at a loss for the stupidity of these people. They’re worshiping at the alter of a guy who sold hypnotism breast enlargement and attacking the wealth creators. God help us. God help those who can’t escape.

@PeterMcCormack You will get there in the end Peter! Male property owner only voting fixes this. A mixture of abject stupidity (with no skin in the game, or directly benefiting from big govt), and women suicidal empathy voting, brought us here. It’s not rocket science.

@nicofreedom3 @PeterMcCormack @JujuliaGrace Small correction, it would be like getting your ‘communist art teacher’. Yes, there is only one real option, Restore. But we must admit how we got here, effectively socialism and mass 3rd world immigration. A toxic mix indeed. In order to survive, BOTH must be reversed.

This is the thing all the people attacking Peter need to understand first. Peter isn’t saying don’t pay them £15 out of some cold hearted nature. It’s because he knows the Government makes running retail businesses impossible. Ted Baker, SuperDry, Valerie Pattiserie, Jamie Olivers. Endless closures even when doing well with customers. I was happier when i didn’t know all the politics and economics behind it all ! The successive Governments are to blame and nothing will change with Labour and Cons. And definitely not Greens. That would like getting your Art Teacher running the Country. Reform maybe but I’ll be voting for Restore because of Rupert Lowe - successful businessman and not a career politician.

I’m presuming you’re a capitalist. As such I assume you’ll accept that your coffee shop is a failing business if you can’t afford to pay people properly. The market always knows best, right? 🤷‍♀️
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

@PeterMcCormack @JujuliaGrace And to cap it all, then the State spunks all that tax up the wall (abject waste, bloated public sector, unaffordable public sector pensions, and insanely generous benefits), and then still manages to run a reckless deficit year in year out.

Yes, so let's address why it is failing and what could make it thrive. It is failing because it can't sell enough product at a profitable level to cover its costs. How could it thrive? Well there is all the state imposed costs - VAT, Business Rates, high energy costs, NI increase, inflationary pressures etc... If these did not exist the place would be thriving. So what does this tell you, that the state imposes a drag which makes businesses fail. So what does that tell you?
