On this Memorial Day I will remember my friend A1C Christopher B. Lester and the other 18 USAF personnel who were killed on June 25, 1996 in the Khobar Towers dormitory attack. Hezbolah Terrorists detonated a truck bomb killing 19 Airmen and wounding 400 other personnel. These men paid the ultimate sacrifice for the greatest Nation on Earth. The 19 fallen Airmen included: Captains: Christopher J. Adams, Leland T. Haun Master Sergeants: Michael G. Heiser, Kendall K. Kitson Jr. Technical Sergeants: Daniel B. Cafourek, Patrick P. Fennig, Thanh V. Nguyen Staff Sergeants: Ronald King, Kevin J. Johnson Sergeant: Millard D. Campbell Senior Airmen: Earl R. Cartrette Jr., Jeremy A. Taylor Airmen 1st Class: Christopher Lester, Brent E. Marthaler, Brian W. McVeigh, Peter W. Morgera, Joseph E. Rimkus, Justin R. Wood, Joshua E. Woody May they rest in peace. Always remembered. A few have asked about my absence. It grieves me to let you know, but in consideration of those concerned I will share. I am struggling with medical challenges, currently with no known cure nor treatment. My ability to focus is limited. If it were within my control to continue as I have I certainly would.
