** Community Alert ** There is currently a large police presence in the 300 block of Timberland Lane while officers investigate a shooting. One adult victim was transported to UVA Health in non-life threatening condition.

There is no legitimate government agency or bank that is going to demand you pay or send money using cryptocurrency. FBI Richmond Intelligence Analyst Heather Harris and our partners at @ACPD_VA and @VSPPIO recently sat down with media in Charlottesville to discuss the overwhelming amount of scams we've seen in the past few years. If you have been the victim of a scam, report it as soon as possible to local law enforcement and to the FBI at ic3.gov. Your money could be halfway around the world seconds after you send a cryptocurrency payment- help law enforcement track it by reporting it quickly and providing as much detail as possible.

Upon investigation, officers believe the shooting started from a verbal altercation that continued to the roadway, where shots were fired at a vehicle. ACPD has identified the persons believed to be involved in this incident, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

** Community Alert ** On March 18, 2026, at 10:29 pm, officers responded to the 2500 block of Hydraulic Road for reports for shots fired. No injuries were reported.

The attached photo of Price is from 2024 and does not reflect his current hairstyle, which is shorter. ACPD is asking the community to be on the lookout for the suspect pictured. Price should be considered armed and dangerous.

** Information Release ** The Albemarle County Police Department is seeking the whereabouts of a man wanted after fleeing from a traffic stop on March 8, 2026.
