This story is absolutely nuts. Chinese men are buying children here and bringing them back to China (using surrogates, no background checks) and now we have THIS showing the Chinese surrogacy movement is running even deeper.

3/4 Depuis des mois, je saisis les administrations, en france mon dossier est inexistant, en Roumanie vous avez un dossier mais on ne vous le donnera pas. Ces blocages administratifs m’obligent à recourir à des moyens privés (test maternité) pour reconstituer mon identité, alors que mon droit d’accès aux données personnelles (art. 15 RGPD) et mon droit à l’identité (art. 8 CEDH, art. 7 et 8 Convention relative aux droits de l’enfant) devraient être garantis. J'ai cette chance de connaître ma mère, mais les adoptés qui cherchent, en sacrifiant leur vie avec des moyens financiers énormes en espérant trouver des informations sur leurs familles.

1/4 Après 44 ans, j’ai dû réaliser un test génétique de maternité avec ma mère Ana pour prouver le lien de filiation. Mon certificat de naissance lui a été volé à l'orphelinat pour supprimer toute trace de mon existence. Il est incessible au niveau administratif puisque je n'appartiens plus à mon pays d'origine. L'adoption plénière brise tout. Cette démarche a été rendue nécessaire par le refus répété des autorités françaises et roumaines de me communiquer l’intégralité de mon dossier d’adoption de 1982.

A surrogate is on life support. There is a contract. The commissioning parents decide how long her body is kept alive to complete the pregnancy, or to not complete it. They decide who lives and who dies and when. Not her own family. Her body is no longer under her control. This is surrogacy.
