Two my point was more so the worldbuilding and setting, in terms of characters and their motivations that's all arguable. Three, I personally prefer the sincerity of a spiteful work over one that lies about what it does.

On top of that the entire story and motivations behind Butcher and Homelanders characters are completely ruined by the final plot twist. Making the entire story feel aimless

As the show strayed farther from the comics, it added 2020s woke to the mix, creating a thematic mess.

@BoffinFM @ShitpostRock2 The entire boys universe was more interesting in the comics. It's sad but most people disavowed fans of the comics because it was "edgy" as if the filter of being modern and progressive improved the story. Not to mention it's hyperfocused on America only.

You should expect to see a lot of this as Zoomers turn 30 and up the ante on the LARP that they're the first generation to get screwed by their elders. It makes no sense for Millennials and Zoomers to be at odds because we have all the same problems, caused by the same people.

I find it interesting that RBD in theory could serve as an antidote for plot armour & allow for protagonists to organically die to things that they usually wouldn't be allowed to given the need for the plot to force success, yet in practice victory often ends up contrived anyway
