My thoughts: 🤬 - Sack Slot now. - Disgusting performance Slotball should be illegal. - Conceded a club-record 50 goals this season. Worst defensive record of any Liverpool side in a 38-game PL era. - Same number of defeats as Leeds in 15th. - Rio Ngumoha was our best player by a mile — criminally underused all season. - Van Dijk has arguably been our most dangerous attacker this season, says everything. - Subs were dreadful. - We create nothing from open play, only set pieces. - Mamardashvili cannot be our No.1. - Gakpo as backup striker next season is a joke — he was invisible again. - Gravenberch has been dreadful and cannot start as our No.6. - Jones looked totally disinterested — clearly off in the summer. - Kerkez has gone massively backwards in the second half of the season. - MacAllister was poor and that dive from Konsa was embarrassing. - Wirtz has regressed badly under Slot. Cannot do another season of this. 😢

One thing I will say in favour of Arne Slot… Why are people acting like it’s normal for us to be without Isak, Ekitike, Salah and our first two choice goalkeepers at Old Trafford? It’s difficult to build any momentum or chemistry when people keep on missing out. Even Bradley has been a miss and Kerkez’s knock has made him miss out too. Definitely a tough ask but the first half was just not good enough regardless.

Just to play on this hypothetical, I'd like to know answers to the following. Does a new manager at any point of the season: • Make Isak match fit the entire season after he sat out the whole summer? • Stop Leoni blowing his knee out in his first game? • Suddenly give Salah two yards more pace and not see his offensive contributions drop by near 50%? • Stop the freak goals that have been conceded off of deflections, 30 yard screamers, etc? • Stop an Iron Man in Frimpong having multiple hamstring injuries? • Stop Bradley blowing his knee out trying to clear the ball? • Stop Isak breaking his leg scoring a goal? • Stops Ekitike blowing his Achillies? • Stops the need for a transition period for those coming from another team/league? These are just a few of the instances that Slot has had to deal with this season, and, to be honest, not Klopp nor Alonso being in charge changes 90% of this. Would there be some variation? Absolutely. Is Slot infallible? Not even close. Should questions be asked? Absolutely. But let's not look at this season through a prism of bias and use all of the context available, otherwise, you're being agenda driven 🤷‍♂️ #LFC

@GooalMouth His achievements?? Flunked out of every competition during his tenure, barring the wonderful Title win. Team has tailed off massively since March or so last year and failed to regain the consistency and intensity that was our hallmark. We've been willing him to succeed, but.....

I've been a big fan of Slot since he entered the dugout at Liverpool. He is a thoroughly decent bloke who delivered a Premier League title in front of the fans for the first time in 35 years. Always speaks well and always carries himself with class and dignity, despite the tragedy, the transition and the injuries he has had to manage this season. This is why I have been so vocal against people on this platform this season. Some of the stuff I've seen said about him has been a disgrace, and I have lost a lot of respect for the talking heads I once held in high regard. Criticism is always warranted, and he has deserved his fair share. Still, the personal attacks, the fake outrage about training and man management (completely made up nonsense that has never held up in the real world), and even going as far as to suggest finishing in the top 5 is a fluke ( I could not believe that came out of the mouth of a certain Anfield Index legend). The constant belittling of his achievements has made me switch off to a fair few in the Liverpool Twitter community. I really hope he goes on to deliver a top 4 finish and has us firing on all cylinders next season.
