Today is a good day...the second paper I'm involved in got officially published today! This one is a bit unusual (compared to the topics I usually talk about), but it is very near and dear to my heart. frontiersin.org/journals/astro…

Awesome paper by my group and led by Jason Poh was just published! Do not be scared, it's just 58 pages long, bud definitely worth a read if you are interested in strong gravitational lensing and AI. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…

A cool new paper from my group. If your favorite ML model keeps performing poorly due to the domain shift, check our paper out. We demonstrate a fast, easy, and automated solution to domain adaptation with SIDDA! arxiv.org/abs/2501.14048?

Yes finally! They must have read my mind from 2 days ago. Although that time around I managed to do it almost perfectly. I wish I was there to help with taste and texture tests. :) arxiv.org/abs/2501.00536…

Angry rant warning: When you spend years developing and applying specific kind of AI methods for astro, and become the main person for those methods in the world, and in preparation for a proposal you do preliminary work for exactly the thing you will propose...

...publish a paper and put a plot in the proposal to demonstrate it works. And you get a comment from the reviewer that there is no previous work to prove this is realistic proposal and the proposal is denied. Can someone tell me...how not to be frustrated in this absurd system?!
