@ThourCS2 They made the prices way too sensitive, they are moving over 100% every single adjustment which means they are always getting mass bought or literally zero sales
New Price Update for Cologne 2026 Stickers and donk's sticker went down by $870 or 71.06% and ZywOo's gold sticker is down $630.
My advise would be to stay away from these for now 🤧
Just a few hours after the IEM Cologne Major update, these sticker prices skyrocketed 📈🔥
ZywOo - $463 (+$424)
NiKo - $448 (+$411)
m0NESY - $448 ($411)
ropz - $414 ($375)
donk - $397 (+$363)
@Deploriot@YouM3tv actual players (not collectors) dont care about stickers really, they just do meme crafts or dont apply them at all, with these tournament stickers they just appeal to collectors who want rarity (i dont think i have seen a single rmr sticker in game despite them being cheap)
@ADAMcsss@YouM3tv Yeah, you're looking at it from the health of the secondary market. If you're looking it from the actual player's perspective who plays the game, there's no such thing as too much supply.
The sticker update with it's dynamic pricing is as predatory as it is with TicketMaster.
The ethical use of dynamic pricing is to reduce demand in order to preserve supply, not maximizing profits on an infinite supply. Fans are no longer determining the price amongst themselves within a marketplace.
For them to approach their NY lawsuit stating they're no different than any collectible/trading card system, they're sure doing everything they can to change the system being attacked.
I worry that; not dissimilar to how VALVE have altered the Compendium in DOTA 2, that their solution in Counterstrike is at odds with what fans would understand to be reasonable changes.
@Deploriot@YouM3tv too many 20 cent stickers already exist, the sticker market was dead since rmr, which sounds good for players but im 99% sure only people who actually craft care about rarity, super common kinda goes against the "custom" feel most collectors go for
@YouM3tv fundamentely people open them to get an expensive item and try to make a profit/ get a valuable item for cheaper. Regulation wise people have always "gambled" for items worth something rather than direct cash to bypass those laws forever, more of a morality issue with capsules
I don't disagree it's like gambling, it's closest comparison is gacha machines/games whereby you're still guaranteed an item out with certain items being more rare and thus 'more valuable' than others.
Also in no TCG is every card given an equal packrate, the court essentially has to agree that those systems (that have existed for longer than anything VALVE have done) are also gambling and must be regulated as such.
@totodile_king I sold most of mine and spent the money on things I enjoy more, could pick up grails in other collectables for a mid psa 10 card, still kept the ones I actually like but I moved on and if things go back I’ll collect again
I miss $5 Mew EX promos, cheap E-Readers, and affordable Tag Teams.
The “hobby” feels more like an investment industry now.
What are YOU doing to still enjoy Pokémon?
@MaxLonged could be a stunt, black labels always felt like a lottery system to grade with bgs, and with psa owning them now and being overwhelmed im sure they wouldnt mind diverting some traffic
Been really debating selling off a chunk of my collection. The money has just got too wild to not consider it.
I’m finically stable and have other savings but would be nice to have a chunk of cash to play with. 🤔
Anyone else dealing with the problem?
