I’m entering hospice today. Will probably update every little if at all. But I wanted to say to be kind, be brave, be principled, be an idealist. Most importantly, be a decent human.
I love that we existed together, in this moment of time.

Knowing for the past few weeks that this moment was fast approaching didn’t make it any less heartbreaking to hear the news early this morning that Janey had died.
Janey Godley truly was a force of nature, and one of the funniest people I have ever known. I was able to visit her in the hospice a couple of weeks ago and though she was fragile, she still had me in stitches.
Janey was also incredibly kind. And she made the world a better place.
A bond was forged between us in the darkest days of Covid when her famous voiceovers of my daily briefings went viral. In the toughest of times, she made people laugh - and that was precious. She did more that that though. In managing to project the serious public health messages of my briefings to a much wider audience than I would have managed alone, she helped save lives.
The photos on this post are from an event we did together last year - it was a special night.
I was so proud to call Janey a friend and will miss her hugely. My heart goes out to her family and many friends - they are in my thoughts today.
I know Frank will have been there, holding the door for her as she went - with a tear in his eye, as I have in mine. RIP my friend ❤️

Daniel is 18 years old Sunday. A gentler soul you will never meet. He has no friends as he won’t leave home and can’t work. Autism does that to you. Please wish him a happy birthday and RT everywhere . ❤️#happybirthdaydaniel

PD Olly from Northamptonshire Police has paperwork to complete after he was called to assist officers after suspects crashed a vehicle and decamped. Olly tracked from the vehicle and the driver who turned out to be disqualified was located and arrested. Outstanding work PD Olly. 👏🐶🇬🇧

For the past few years, we have been supporting a client’s dog.
Recently, at our London station, the client pulled me aside and said, "Michelle, I personally need some help with my addiction. Is there anywhere you can signpost me?
I want to come off this awful drug and go onto a prescribed substitute, but I don’t know where to begin and I admit I need help and support."
Today, our client received their first prescription after we referred them and supported them through the process. We are very proud of them and hope they are proud of themselves too. We will continue to support the client through their journey to become addiction-free. 🧡#Support #Recovery #Proud #DOTS

We recently took in two dogs that were sadly found in a park, along with a phone, after their owner walked into a hospital in acute need of mental health support.
The dogs (do I have to add with very well cared for ) were safely picked up by two kind dog walkers who took them into their care.
We were then contacted to see if we could assist.
For the past few weeks, the owner, still in the hospital, had not known where his dogs were until the hospital reached out to us today and we provided our contact number.
It was so lovely to hear from the owner, who clearly loves their dogs and could not express enough gratitude for our support and for keeping the dogs safe.
More importantly, the dogs will be reunited with their owner once they are in a place where they can care for them.
We are also leaving our door open in the future. Should any mental health crisis occur, they can contact us directly and we will ensure a swift collection of the dogs to come into our safe care. #MentalHealthSupport #DogsOnTheStreets #AnimalRescue #CommunitySupport

Just got the news that Tyler passed away a short while ago. His body was too weak to fight the distemper virus. Also unable to maintain body temperature even though we were using an electric blanket. RIP Tyler, so sorry that we could not give you the life that you so deserved 💔

My much loved son would have been 38 today. Since he died by suicide in December the grief is unpredictable in that some days I am happy and then others (like today) I want to hide under the duvet and every other emotion in between. Truly exhausting 💔 #grief
