Redrawing “autism”. Nuanced approach to understanding differences across many aspects. Balances the paradox of the language of autism being useful but the “hard” definition being challenging to both personal identities and clinical practices.

Interesting view on how US supported Soviet WW2 industrialisation … and debt led to Stalin’s brutal repressions. NB I am not a historian and lazily haven’t fact checked, so corroborations would be valuable.

Why Russia can't win against the West Russia is often portrayed as the invincible military power. And yet, this reputation is based on two wars - Napoleonic and WWII. In both cases Russia won only thanks to the alliance allied with *the* leading economic powerhouse of that era🧵

I am an idiot for missing out this update when I just got back from vacay. THERE IS A MASSIVE MIMO HANDBOOK. I want to get a hard copy and have it signed by a Mr MIMO... That said, I'm definitely going to take some time to get through this mMIMO bible. ericsson.com/en/ran/massive…

Among all the “insane prompts” AI copy here’s something rather beautiful
Kris Kashtanova@icreatelife

One of my dear friends asked me to train a Stable Diffusion model on photographs of his mother. He was very close with his mother who was a single mother. They had a lot of adventures together. She passed away way too soon. I trained a model locally and let him use my computer and taught him to use A.I. He's never used A.I. before and as you know prompting in SD is much harder than Midjourney, so I showed him Lixaca.art where he could search for prompts and styles. He asked me to sit in the same room and I sat on the couch and gave him space. He was typing and then asked me to come. I saw photographs of a young boy and his mother and I thought he was recreating photos of them together in the past. I asked if it was him. "It's my future son and my mom." He said it was a healing experience. With his kind permission, I share with you these and his captions.

Now a keynote from @ADCCo on enterprise demands on telcos Good points on maturity & credibility I don’t agree with the phasing of “digitalisation” Digital predates computing. It’s 100+ years old. It’s not new. Current transformation is in many ways post-digital

Final keynote here at the tail end of a very successful #ConnectedNorth on a very fitting topic - collaborating at a local level to deliver meaningful outcomes. Lots of Northern councils doing great work in the digital space that doesn't get talked about enough!

@3PARA @TheParachuteReg @16AirAssltBCT My dad was in the first wave of paras to land over the Rhine by Wesel that day. They thought they were going to die but the German AA was zeroed at high altitude for the bombers the previous night and they got in with much lighter casualties than feared.

Officers and Seniors have gathered this evening for the unveiling of a painting by the very talented Derek Chambers, #OPVARSITY. The largest Airborne operation in history to be conducted on a single day in one location and highly successful. 🇬🇧🟩 @TheParachuteReg @16AirAssltBCT

#OTD My great-great-aunt Mildred Harnack was beheaded on Hitler’s direct order. Born in Milwaukee, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin & moved to Germany to pursue a PhD. As an American grad student in Berlin, she witnessed a rapid increase in Hitler's popularity. 1/12
