@wakelet We have not used Wakelet much in the last year but suddenly it has emerged as our tool for choice for implementing a #secondbrain. As of today, my son is organizing all his learning on Wakelet.

@DrChrisMooreEP @hashhackcode Please see above. I think the reason HashHackCode model works so well is that you are able to keep students regulated, provide caring mentoring relationships, and then address reasoning through coding. See Bruce Perry's 3R model and @DrChrisMooreEP's work.

The “upstairs” can’t be accessed during a heightened state of arousal. We need to reduce stressful demands, convey empathy and provide regulating activities, rather than use strategies which assume that the child can reflect, problem-solve and immediately control impulses.
Lucy Collings Pettit@CollingsPettit

“Engage, don’t enrage.”— @DrDanSiegel @tinabryson Engaging the “upstairs brain”, instead of enraging the “downstairs brain”. When a child is connected and calm, the aim is to help them to keep thinking and listening, rather than just reacting. #wholebrainchild #wholebrainstrategy

@DrChrisMooreEP @DrChrisMooreEP I started sharing your work with my parent groups. Our younger son is autistic and we learned many lessons the hard way. Hope to help other parents. I am also sharing some of your posts with my son.

@DrChrisMooreEP I run some parent groups in telegram, Facebook, and whatsapp. I have started sharing your work @DrChrisMooreEP. Our younger son is autistic and we learned much of this the hard way. How I wish we had your 3R articles. Hopefully, I can help other parents.
