@SieNoel And we are running out of room to stand without touching the grief, and it is pushing us off a cliff.
I want everyone to just feel it already.
English

Yeah. So, idk, I’m reluctant to like recommend this per se. But I’ve been slowly allowing myself to contemplate everyone I care about dying in stupid preventable catastrophes as all of this unfolds.
What happens happens. This is what grief has taught me. Acceptance is how you remove suffering from pain.
But like, this is an advanced practice, kind of. It’s the opposite of denial.

I'm just so fucking sad and angry every second that my brain is turned on, and I both 1) believe that's a correct and sane response to the world right now, but 2) am not really sure how to cope with it.
English

@lady_valor_07 Minu notebooks, pencils, broken pencil sharpner, biro's without ink, post-its, important miscellaneous papers, a non-existing pair of scissors (should be there but is always somehow missing).
English

@KeruboSk And many song lyrics, Love by Joni Mitchell chief among them.
English

@KeruboSk The first line of the odyssey in ancient Greek
English

@mykola You look very happy! Congratulations
English

@DrGenevieve73 What are you proposing? I'd love to pitch in if it helps
English

@ADHD_Cyborg I have an ADHD coaching group. I'd be interested in your contributions.
English

I have ADHD but in my spare time I like doing activities inconsistent with ADHD like writing and solving and dismantling paradoxes. It calms me down. Does anyone else with ADHD engage in an activity that's is inconsistent with the symptoms? As a research psychologist and ADHD coach I'm very interested.
English

@DrGenevieve73 I have many traits i would consider vital to my character and not necessarily ADHD but hyperfocus on reading is not one of them...
English

@ADHD_Cyborg This question explores what's outside ADHD and what makes the person because what makes the person isn't their ADHD.
English

@DrGenevieve73 The confusion is about why you would label it an anomaly. To me it fits with ADHD. But i'll stop debating you. I've had this experience with an off the cuff post that led to discussions here, and i don't mean to bother you. Hope you have a great day!
English

@ADHD_Cyborg That's the point. It didn't mean something was wrong. I'm not sure if it's my wording but this was meant to be a fun question that looked at ADHD and saw an anomaly in it.
English

@DrGenevieve73 I used to hyperfocus on reading books as a kid. I did it to the point where NOTHING else mattered to me.
English

@DrGenevieve73 In a hyperfocus i'd be forgetting the time and/or all other tasks & bodily needs. So the inattention shows up for everything BUT the hyperfocus task. Still inattention...
English

@DrGenevieve73 The view where these things are inconsistent is based in a very old fashioned and stereotypical image of what it means to have ADHD in my experience.
English

@DrGenevieve73 How are those inconsistent with ADHD? I don't get it. As long as it's tied to intrinsic interests anything can trigger hyperfocus and there is nothing inherently 'inconsistent' with ADHD. The interest creates congruence.
English

@_sorrengailll NOPE. Might have chosen to be a stay at home MOM for a few years. But def. NOT a stay at home wife. I love my work too much
English

@KeruboSk Yes, tries and tested. A little harder now that she has moved further away, but still applies
English

@ChloeWest28 @emilykmay Bot sure if this applies but was was informed by experts that induced contrations can be Wayyyyy more painful than natural ones because it's hard to dose this medication.
English

@emilykmay Honestly to me it $900 hurts 😂😂 I got induced for my last labor bc of high blood pressure and before my epidural kicked in I was like 4cm dilated and was like I would rather die than do this for the remaining 6cm
English

@Helios_Movement @grok decrypt it for me. I don't understand the context or what he implies
English

I'm not going to lie, this Bryan Johnson situation has me all fucked up.
He could have been the chosen one.
He was literally seducing goth chicks who fed him acai balls while he was tripping balls on mushrooms, putting Grimes as the DJ, creating good memes and telling Indians to fix their country.
He was 1 year away from endorsing regenerative agriculture.
Elon is the final hope.
