The @calstampeders have released 🇨🇦 Long Snapper Aaron Crawford. Crawford spent most of the '25 season on IR while recovering from a knee injury. This one stings for me personally. Since I started tracking long snapper data in '23, Crawford has consistently stood out as one of the most reliable and precise snappers in the league. When healthy, his accuracy is elite, and the velocity on his snaps is unmatched. Wishing Aaron nothing but the best, and hoping we see him land with another team soon. #CFL | #BetweenTheGoalposts

@lordele @PeterDyakowski I would agree It isn’t, any player 6 yards off on a one yard play is only making impact after yards are gained. There’s also been more goaline stand stops than there has been stopped 1 yard plays mid field sooooo….

Dyakowski would see this and still claim the goal post isn’t in the way.

@ADJC_44 @PeterDyakowski @barstoolsports I'm not saying they could not have kicked it out. My point is being rewarded for failure. The failure was missing the FG. When a team, and we have seen it, punts the ball through the end zone for a point or hammers the FG knowing they will get the point regardless, that's tough.

If you return a kick but don’t make it out the end zone in Canadian football, the other team gets a point Imagine losing in the playoffs off that

I don’t think rewarding a missed field goal with a single point is make our break, the rouge applies pressure to return teams and keeps it exciting. Punts and kickoffs should remain with rouge in play.
