seven getting 1 reps again at #bclions practice. Maybe buck thinks they need a speed threat. Mcgee was a 4star with 4.4 speed & one of the top RB recruits coming out of high school. that probably means they are looking for a returner. Darden looked good on saturday

Ryan Dinwiddie says QB1 with the @REDBLACKS isn’t necessarily anyone’s to lose. ‘Someone has to take the job’. Both Dru Brown and Jake Maier will play in the 1st half Friday vs Montreal.

True for contracts that are “ON THE BOOKS” but , and you definitely didn’t hear this from me, during my playing days, there were receivers (whose names will remain protected for legal reasons) 😂) who were making more once you added in the “OFF THE BOOKS” income too.😉

The @Ticats have signed WR Kenny Lawler to a new 3-year $1 million contract … making it the biggest receiver deal in CFL history, aside from the 1991 Rocket Ismail @argos contract for personal services. The 31-year-old Lawler led the @CFL with 16.8 yards per catch last season and was second in total yardage with 1,443. #CFL

@TSNDaveNaylor @Ticats @argos @CFL Insane no way he earns that over 3 yrs....league is lackn quality QBs....cuz we as a league wastes money on positions that are easy to fill....teams that dont have a star studded QB usually pay them nothing and spend elsewhere...like the elks didbon oline..

It was a high-intensity padded practice with lots of team play. Justin McInnis also caught a deep ball from Rourke but the defence again stood tall. T.J. Lee had a pick-6 off Rourke and Ronald Kent snagged a Rourke pass that went through the arms of Stanley Berryhill.

Seven McGee working as the B.C. Lions’ fifth receiver ahead of Kieran Poissant at training camp Monday and had a nice diving, one-handed TD catch in the first team session. Tyson Russell remained at Garry Peters’ CB spot. There appeared to be no other changes in first-team reps.

The final week of B.C. Lions training camp opened Monday with CB Garry Peters back on the sidelines stretching with rookie receiver Nate Demontagnac, DLs Nathan Cherry and Hayden Harris and LBs Terrence Ganyi and Maxime Rouyer. LB Jeremy Lewis was back after missing last week.

RB Tony jones and DB DK Kaufman today final cutdown day is saturday .. but because #bclions have a week 1 bye we could see limited cuts (players dont get 5k-35k weekly cheques on bye weeks)

If you don’t play butler, you can get a head to head horvath vs bailey. Who can block, get to second level, receiving ability, etc. Although this could carry over into first part of #bclions season

Campbell used to treat second preseason game as game 0 and #bclions starters would play a half like it was a real game. This regime is different .. I wouldn't play rourke, butler, Allen, etc at all Friday.

Visiting Kelowna. Apple Bowl stadium close to gym I like there. Thought I would check the temp expansion. Will seat b/ween 17k to 20k for 2 BC Lions regular season games while World Cup has BC Place. Not much expansion yet? Built in 1980. Official regular capacity over 2k.
