Presently we have over 54M non-natives in the US who basically are not assimilating and have no idea of what allegiance to "the flag of the United States of American" means, that pledge we said every morning in elementary school. Without that background and knowing the history of our country, most of those living here now as new citizens or illegals have zero idea of what it takes to hold a nation together and to survive and thrive. As those of us who are patriots dwindle and die away, we will be left with skeletons of the past and not faithful remembrances. Our stars and stripes faces will become the faces of diverse groups who probably will not get along and will not advance the true tenants of freedom. The face of the US in 50-100 yrs. will be faces of lost opportunity, lost advancement and most of all lost freedoms. We would not recognize ourselves if we came back. Forever simmering underneath will be tribalism, demonstrations, tension, few freedoms and hopelessness IF WE DO NOT DO TODAY WHAT NEEDS TO LAST AND CHANGE TOMORROW!!!

Not sure if that means Renee was affiliated with the NAACP (who is part of the civil society wing of Democracy Inc.) but she was probably trained to be a legal observer by some nonprofit as they do that as part of their protest trainings.

My whole family and I were “essential workers”. None of us ever got sick or vaccinated.
