Soft-tissue sarcomas are very aggressive cancers of the muscles, fat, and connective tissues. With little progress for decades, a breakthrough is game-changing. This #SarcomaAwarenessMonth, we are highlighting a clinical trial funded by #StandUpToCancer, which showed very promising results when treating patients with this disease using immunotherapy alongside radiation and surgery. This breakthrough reduces the risk of cancer relapse by an amazing 43% – for two of the most common types of soft tissue sarcoma in adults, two years after treatment.
