This focus has resulted in 300 actions taken, thus far, to unleash America’s energy potential.

"We commend President Trump’s decision to issue an additional 90-day suspension of the century-old Jones Act, and we ask Congress to make the suspension permanent by repealing this outdated law. The Jones Act requires cargo shipped domestically to be carried on vessels that are U.S.-built, owned, and flagged and crewed by Americans. While originally intended to strengthen American maritime capabilities, it has become a costly, counterproductive barrier to efficient commerce. Its repeal is long overdue." Encouraging news for folks like me who are very concerned that the needed AI buildout not burden regular American ratepayers: @IERenergy finds that data centers have not tended to raise consumer bills! In fact, "rising electricity demand is associated with smaller price increases." Why? Because electric grids have high fixed costs. More sales help spread out those costs. Renewables mandates and forced scarcity of reliable fuels increase costs.

California has significant remaining oil resource potential. It could expand in-state production. It could work to support more oil development in Alaska rather than opposing it. Either path would reduce foreign energy dependence and put downward pressure on prices.

The Bureau of Land Management announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for April 28, 2026, to offer 23 oil and gas parcels totaling 8,993 acres in North Dakota and South Dakota. 300. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission voted unanimously to streamline its National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review for water power actions that have minimal or no impacts to the environment, to provide greater efficiency and regulatory certainty to regulated industries.
