@Seth_3773 Spot on …need 3 kids with decent stuff but pound the zone ( 2 starters and 1 reliever) A catcher who can catch the ball. Play good defense and execute a bit on offense and win 75% of your games or more . If starters are legit and pound zone you can battle for a state title

I’m scouting a game since I suddenly have an open date for no real reason. The pitcher is absolutely all over the place. Fixable I definitely could fix him. Dad in the stands to the umpires strike zone “ I guess he wants it on a tee?” Parents I know you love your kids, but come on.

We got our teeth kicked in today. Honestly we did it to ourselves. As a coach of a rebuilding program you have to praise the good fix the bad and keep the ship afloat. We did a lot of things poorly tonight but these kids felt pressure things were going well and then it fell apart. Culture Process Knowledge BUY IN… It takes all these aspects to run a successful program. I was at a school that let students and parents run the show and despite winning, something they have never consistently done, the bad still won. I basically had to force those kids and parents to win. Bad situations can make good coaches look terrible.
