I won’t lie to you, Enyinnaya; I used to think like that too. Then I moved to the UK. I started travelling to other countries without breaking my bank, and I saw how their citizens lived without constant stress. My mentality shifted completely. You honestly don’t need extraordinary wealth to live a very comfortable life. And that’s the part that stings about Nigeria. It isn’t just greed driving the obsession with money; it’s survival. In countries where systems actually work, you don’t have to chase billionaire-level wealth just to secure peace of mind. Your health, safety, and even the small pleasures of life aren’t permanently at risk. Comfort isn’t a luxury there; it’s a baseline. So when Nigerians dream of Otedola-sized wealth, it isn’t always vanity. It’s a desperate attempt to insulate themselves from a system that keeps failing them. To live here and not aspire to extreme riches almost feels like gambling with your own dignity. The irony is that travel exposes this truth in reverse. You realise you don’t need obscene wealth to be free. You just need functioning structures, a fair chance, and a life that doesn’t demand a fight at every turn. Once you taste that, the hunger for endless money starts to feel less like ambition and more like a trauma response you’ve finally outgrown.
Enyinnaya@enyinna_

I often said this about Nigerians obsessed with riches. Beyond their obvious financial illiteracy, Nigerians aspire for the Adelekes' and Otedolas' type of wealth because they're living in pain and desperation. Such types of aspirations couldn't be common in Argentina or Estonia.

Money doesn’t respond to hustle alone. It follows value. Until you get that, you’ll keep chasing air.

I wasn’t trying to be a founder. I was just trying to deploy my site… without stress. Hi, I’m Honour, and I’m 19. For the past year, I’ve been quietly building something that I wish existed, a hosting platform that doesn’t overwhelm you, drain your pocket, or make you feel like you need a DevOps degree just to go live. It’s called @pxxl_space and it’s for developers who just want clarity. No cluttered dashboards. No hidden fees. Just clean, instant deployment with pricing that makes sense, especially if you’re just starting out. I built this because I got tired of the noise. Hosting should be calm. It should be fast. It should feel like flying, not fighting. On July 11, Pxxl goes live. And I hope it gives you the peace of mind to build what you’ve been dreaming of. See you at launch. 🚀 -Robinson Honour Founder, PXXL

It’s honestly painful watching smart young Africans avoid leadership roles — meanwhile, some of the most unserious people are the ones sitting at the front, collecting funds and making decisions that affect all of us. All because they positioned themselves.

@MoneyQuotesX When people say “money doesn’t matter,” they usually just don’t want to seem greedy. But let’s be honest money matters. It shapes your options, your freedom, even your peace of mind. Denying that keeps you stuck. Respect money, don’t worship it but don’t downplay its role either

Why does it feel like the world is moving forward while Africa is being left behind? It’s not just AI or blockchain we’re falling behind in innovation, infrastructure, and opportunity. The gap keeps widening. The question is: when do we start to truly catch up?

We keep telling African youths to “build the next big thing” but with no funding, no support, and no safety net. What we’re pushing isn’t entrepreneurship… it’s SURVIVAL. Let’s stop glamorizing the grind and start building real systems.

The problem with Africa isn’t just leadership—it’s that our youth are more invested in TikTok trends than building the continent. While the West builds tech and power, we chase clout. It’s time to wake up. Africa won't grow if its future leaders are busy dancing. #viral

What sets a white man apart from a black man isn't skin but system mindset shaped by history, access, and belief. Success isn't racial; it's mental. When the black man reclaims confidence, unity, and vision, he won’t just compete he’ll lead.

@taylor_hibbs_ @EyoneMedical Powerful work by Henri and Eyone Medical! Africa’s healthcare needs bold, local solutions like this built from within, for our people. It's more than tech; it's access and dignity. But real impact still battles poor infrastructure and rural reach. We need more support!
