@DaisiOmokungbe This is really so sad. In fact, in many Nigerian University, it looks normal to graduate in a particular year and get result the following year, without the student(s) having any problem with the school. We need to do better with our academic system.

Yesterday in church, a guy came out testifying that his university has now released his result after five years of graduation. I was furious because our uni system allowed a young man to waste five years of his productive life waiting because some people failed to do their work.

@AramideOyekunle I’ve seen this happen very well. The way they set their priorities, the kind of campus events they attend, the kind of people they make friends with and their lifestyle. Yes, life happens, but if you gather the data carefully you will see the success trend with many of them.

Volunteer or intern strategically. It can open doors faster than waiting endlessly for the ‘big’ job.

If you earn below N250k per month, the financial hack is not to target 1m savings at the end of the year but to acquire more skills that will increase your income.

250k in twelve months is 3m, if you earn this and by the year end you’ve no 1m in savings or investments, you’re doing it wrongly, you’re likelier to fail in life.

As a Nigerian Earning 600k... You might not be able to afford a Car especially if you dont work from home. As a Nigerian earning 400... You will likely be needing AJO to pay your rent. As a Nigerian earning 250k... You will be needing Ajo to buy chair in your apartment. 😩

Hello everyone! How's your weekend going?🙂 Our colleague, Mr. P shows off his #OOTD, a simple pink kaftan, and a matching 'fila' (a traditional yoruba soft cap) to go with it😌 as he wishes you the best of the weekend🙂. PS: Did you know that the direction to which the fila is tilted communicates a personal information? Share your comment, if you know😊

@Mr_JAGs Very annoying. These days, any small thing they are tagging everyone. It usually gives the impression that someone mentioned me, only to check and it’s ‘@all’.

I was in Saki over the last weekend and I noticed all business owners were either on generator or solar. I was shocked when someone said it’s been close to 2 years they had power from the national grid. I can’t imagine the adverse effect on the economy of the town. It’s terrible.

Cost of transportation in the last few weeks has been very high. I can’t imagine how higher it would be this week as the fuel price increases further. People on full time onsite job should be prepared for this phase. Employers should find a way to make things easier for workers.

@seyithemie Interestingly, I prefer onsite jobs to remote jobs. I left a full remote job in 2020 to start a fully onsite position and it’s been nice so far. For me, there is something about the onsite experience in the corporate space that remote may not give.

@ChisomAgbafor Most times we only see it from the angle of same job title. The job description may be for someone with not less than 6 years experience. One may come with 6yrs and the other may come with 12yrs experience. Same role, but what they bring to the table may be different.

There is a particular silence in Nigerian offices. Nobody knows what anybody earns. Two people can be doing the exact same work in the same office. One is earning twice the other. And both of them smile at each other every morning.

@softmayors @DurojaiyeSegun I understand your view. But trust me, most people don’t even want to go the tracking or police route because it’s stressful and could be very expensive. Most times, the debtor has been called several times without responding and they even block the lender.

@DurojaiyeSegun This is actually a bad idea of threatening an innocent person... My experience with ONIKAN Zone 2 stays with me for good 2 years... I hope one day i will have the opportunity to tell the story that tracking a number to recover debts is against the law.

If the police want to work, they will put in the effort. I recall that in 2024, I sent ₦7 million to a former colleague for a business deal that later hit the rocks. He stopped picking my calls and was acting like he had ripped me off. I went to Zone 2 Regional HQ in Onikan, and they put in the work. That was when I realized that tracking a suspect is often about basic mathematics. They reviewed the ten numbers he called most frequently, documented each one, and went after the contact with the highest call frequency. Fortunately, it was his sister, and we caught him. When you follow the data, the truth shows up. Data is life!
