I've just finished a morning interval session. That's the reason I'm still able to 'battle' for 1st lady at parkrun. I wasn't magically born an Olympian, I worked hard to get there. I was, however, born a woman.

Ala Stanford, PA-03 candidate, freezes when asked who would enforce immigration laws if ICE is abolished and asks NBC to pause the interview so she can think about it
"It's a good question. And you can um– pause because I just want to think about it."
"Well, we need to continue though."
"Oh, okay. Who do I think should be in charge of enforcing immigration laws? Not the executive branch, because the executive branch is self-serving."
"But who should be on the ground? I mean, there are immigration laws in this country, and a border. If you've abolished ICE, who handles it?"
"Understood. So you can't– Once you abolish you have to rebuild."
"So are you saying have no ICE?"
"I'm saying the connotation of that word is so negative that you would need a new name."

I’m sorry Hannah Spencer doesn’t like the smell.
I suspect her fellow MPs aren’t too keen on the stench of semi-digested kale which emanates from the woman, either, but we have to put these minor inconveniences aside.
She represents a party which sees no harm in legalising Class A drugs, but cavils at alcohol. And she does so because alcohol is enjoyed largely by people who don’t like the Greens. It is alcohol as a signifier which annoys her, not the state of being incapacitated by it.

Hasan Piker says the designated terrorist organization Hamas is 1,000 times better than Israel.
His statement outraged many — who now just want to write him off. That's a mistake. He has a massive audience and is emerging as one of the major voices of his generation. Those of us who disagree owe him — and his audience — a real argument.
Here's mine … And my position doesn’t come from ignorance about oppression. For a big chunk of my life, I was a grassroots activist — because of the pain of my own people. During those years, I was lucky enough to learn from elders who had been in the Black Panther Party, in SNCC, in the ANC. These were people who had to choose whether to pick up the gun — and how to use it if they did.
They taught me this: even in armed struggle, there are principles. No women. No children. No rapes. No kidnapping. Mandela held that line. Amílcar Cabral held that line. You don't become what you're fighting.
Hamas fails that test. They are not fighting for MORE freedom for Palestinians. They're fighting for less. They want theocracy, not democracy. And their means? They don’t use principled armed struggle (hitting military targets). They use terrorism (targeting civilians).
The vast majority of Americans — including those who sympathize with the Palestinian cause — reject terror tactics. Reasonable people would agree on three principles: secure homelands for both peoples; no hatred for Jews or Muslims; and protection for all civilians. Hamas’ approach undermines all three.
That's the conversation Piker's audience deserves. Not name-calling.

Welcome to 220 Central Park South, where there are 118 residential units.
The penthouse suite is owned by Ken Griffin. Zohran Mamdani and the socialists have been targeting this building as an example as to why they should, "Tax the Rich," to be able to afford the billions he wants to spend on universal childcare, healthcare for migrants, breadlines etc.
Billionaires like Kevin O'Leary have been warning a Pied-à-Terre Tax will force wealthy people out of the city. Recently Griffin prepared to halt the "redevelopment of 350 Park Avenue, creating 6,000 highly paid construction jobs and supporting the creation of more than 15,000 permanent jobs in mid-town New York."
The socialists have LIED saying there is 0 risk to the "Fair Share Act and the Pied-à-Terre Tax, saying billionaires won't leave because of amazing NYC culture. HAHAHA
What an absolute liar. He is turning NYC into a communist ran slum. This man has no place in office. America has no place for commie idiots. PERIOD!!!!

I've lived in Buenos Aires for about 8 months total, and finally got hit with my first Anti-Gringo sentiment in person the other night
I was at a Mundo Lingo language exchange (would highly recommend going to these) and walked up to a group of attractive women in front of the bar
She saw my American flag and instantly asked me what I thought about Donald Trump
I should have probably walked away when she asked me this question
The tone wasn't curious, it was laced with intense judgement
"Tengo pensamientos mezclados, pero voté para él"
"I have mixed thoughts, but I voted for him"
Is how I responded
She said she hated my country, my government, and Donald Trump, and she doesn't like gringos
I said, you can say what you want about my country and government, but I'm an honest, kind person with values and morals, and not the devil you think I am.
Maybe more context and defense than what was needed, but I felt the need to speak what was honestly on my mind
I said nice to meet you, and walked away from her group, which seemed to be in full acquiescence and agreement with her feelings and thoughts
I have harbor no animosity or ill will towards her or her friends tbh
I understand why they think and feel the way they do
I'd feel the same way if I were them and consuming the media they were consuming
I tell this story just to say...I've talked with probably over 1,000 people here and this is the first person to show me outright disdain and ill-will in person for being an American
A lot of "American hate" you hear about and read on the internet is just that...keyboard warriors that aren't willing to say these things to your face directly
99% of the people I meet here are kind, warm-hearted people with good intentions. Respectful to the fullest extent

Wait! @piersmorgan I’ve found that verse!!
The really important thing is that we, you, me all of us are loved.
And not because of anything we have accomplished or ever could achieve.
But because of who loves us.
