I’ve seen a lot of the October 7 evidence. I’ve seen it with the same eyes I saw evidence of other women who have been assaulted and disbelieved by the public en masse. The only difference is - these women were Jewish.

Do not spend your time on fake dog-rape blood libels. Spend your time reading and sharing the real testimonies of Israeli women and girls subjected to sexual violence on October 7. Their suffering should not be erased by distraction.

British non-Jews should understand the severity of Jew-hate in the UK right now: The Jewish community is running self-defence classes for families. The @theCC07’s report on the sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas during October 7 is horrendous beyond belief. As a survivor of sexual violence, it is especially difficult to bear. But we have a responsibility to read it, to bear witness, and to refuse the erasure or denial of these crimes. Please look after yourself while doing so.

Several people asked this question, so let me explain. I deeply believe the best opinion journalism is based on new reporting, so my columns are rooted in travel and reporting. In this case, I saw a story and pursued it, and because I'm a columnist it ran in the opinion section.

Now we know @nytimes & @NickKristof knew precisely the timing of the release of a new major report on Hamas' sexual violence on 10/7. They declined to publish a story about it and then they preempted its release with the fake "dog rape" and Hamas front Euro-Med trash. Shameful.
