Spent the last week so excited for Budapest that its really only dawning on me now that in exactly two weeks time I have to fly on an airplane for the first time since 2024. As a (very) nervous flyer I shouldnt have left it so long as thats only increasing the anxiety 🤮

My proposal to improve state of league officiating until it becomes fully automated: — No English referees. That eliminates a lot of potential subconscious (or intentional) bias. — More camera angles. Closer camera angles, that don’t require you zooming in and reducing quality of images. Provides more conclusive evidence. — Allow managers to challenge decisions, much like NBA. — Introduce ball sensors to detect touches. — Increase transparency of added time. Referee’s watch should be broadcasted to television providers and the stadium, during stoppages.

Update from the club. As my poll from last night has shown, not everyone who applied is now buying the tickets in the 1st phase, so there will be a phase 2 and that will go to those on Standby end of this week. Those on standby will be emailed accordingly. Once the phase 2 tickets have sold out the club will then put the Screening tickets on sale to those ST holders who did not buy or apply for final tickets, then silver and then red members if any remain. No news on capacity yet, but i expect it to be 30,000-40,000

@JohnEdward1810 @tracyjsharpe yes of course, 6k is ludicrous, but I think theyve just gotta do more and more collections to deter touts, even if it at the inconvenience of those loyal supports, as touting is pretty dire these days

@AFCC__ @tracyjsharpe It’s down to the club to sort out Sam, they have tried so many things, but touts still get tickets, also third party companies sell them. I love Arsenal, and would love to be at the final, but there’s no way I would pay 6 grand for a ticket

Been put on standby for Champions league final tickets, was on standby for the Carabao Cup also. Makes you wonder what you have to do to get a cup final ticket these days. Perhaps I should’ve gone in a block booking, fans who did that managed to get tickets. Oh well never mind

@JohnEdward1810 @tracyjsharpe yes true there are lots of fans doing aways but thats a completely separate issue which also desperately needs fixing as the touting is just a shambles. seeing budapest prices easily exceeding 6k+ which is ridiculous for a 70 euro ticket, shambles

@AFCC__ @tracyjsharpe Sam, I understand what your saying, home games count for nothing now, I hear about so many fans going to away games that are not even season ticket holders, they get the tickets in other people’s names, also touts still get tickets.

Also I think you underestimate the number of ST holders who go to most homes, and finally in terms of this season finals however, you knew the policy and you knew that home attendance has no impact

I do think they should amend it for next year to prioritise those who went to early rounds but it may be unfair on those…

How would you tier it within non away ST holders?

@AFCC__ @JohnEdward1810 Not everyone can afford to do that , or have the time to do that . Yes we knew but doesn’t mean we agree with it . All we are saying should be more tiered . UEFA ripping us off as well

@JohnEdward1810 @tracyjsharpe But everyone knew the final policy at the start of the season, and you knew if you didn’t do European aways then you have to enter the ballot along remaining ST holders. If you really are that desperate to go then do the aways, and if u know u have to take the risk of the ballot

@tracyjsharpe @AFCC__ Yes 100%, when I was Silver you were always guaranteed a ticket for every game, now you’re not. I blame the club for that

I’m sure it’s a total upset esp if you go to all home homes and don’t list tickets on Tx but ultimately how else can the club do it? Every single ST holder makes the same argument, and giving everyone a code would just create chaos

@AFCC__ @tracyjsharpe Glad you got ones for both finals, and I didn’t mean Phase 1 missing out, I meant phase 2, if you go to away games you deserve to get tickets. Tbh I don’t think I will bother entering ballots for Finals anymore, then that way don’t get disappointed 😂
