The FA cannot let him get away with that. This will be a missed opportunity if they don’t take action against Arsenal and Martinelli. There has been too many incidents in football where refs are pushed or shoved and football cannot let it escalate any more. I would have loved to see the ref send him off.

Football has become a lot like chess. And, as in chess, you need a strong opening, middle and end game. Arteta, quite clearly, has a good opening. A great middle. But no end game. And that’s a significant problem.

Max Dowman is good enough. Should be starting against Sporting and Bournemouth. Head and shoulders above all the other Arsenal players today.

It’s ok, though. Nice easy away trip to Sporting on Tuesday. Fairly confident we’ll be out of the tie by the end of that so 3 competitions in three weeks. This has to be the end of the line for Arteta unfortunately.

I’m not spending another penny on this club until we sort this bollocks out. Clearly something fundamentally wrong. Increasingly believe it’s squad management and it’s on Arteta’s head. We get to this stage of the season and the legs go.
