Fort Bend ISD will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 and will resume our regular schedule. All classes, afterschool activities, UIL/athletic events, and Extended Learning will take place at regularly scheduled times. Please be aware that roadways, parking lots, or sidewalks could contain isolated pockets of ice, so we urge everyone to take extra care and caution as you drive, walk or ride bicycles to school. Fort Bend ISD is prioritizing the safety and well-being of students, staff, and families as hazardous winter weather is expected across the region. Out of an abundance of caution: • All FBISD athletic events and weekend activities scheduled for Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25, are canceled. • FBISD schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. This includes all classes, after-school activities, athletic events, and extended learning programs. FBISD encourages staff and families to prepare for severe winter weather conditions expected later this weekend. 🚨 Important Update for Fort Bend ISD Families: As of September 1, 2025, Senate Bill 12 (SB12) is in effect. Schools must now obtain written parental consent before providing students with certain supports in mental, emotional, or physical health, and before students participate in any school-authorized club or organization. Parents and guardians will receive Fort Bend ISD’s SB12 letter through Skyward Family Access, which automatically translates to your preferred language. Parents and guardians are asked to complete the Health-Care and Health-Related Form for the 2025–26 school year in Skyward Family Access at their earliest convenience to ensure their child has access to the supports and opportunities they need.
