We are proud to announce the launch of the 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦, an initiative designed to connect Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with tailored business growth services and appropriate financial solutions. This platform intends to unite enterprises, business growth service providers, and capital providers to support MSMEs in their growth, resilience, and the creation of fulfilling and dignified jobs across #Rwanda. Accessible online at terimberemsme.rw and supported by satellite offices in @MusanzeDistrict , @RubavuDistrict , @RusiziDistrict, @KayonzaDistrict , and @HuyeDistrict, the Facility aims to bring support closer to entrepreneurs, especially in rural and peri-urban areas of #Rwanda. At #IFF2026, we were proud to collaborate with @RwandaICT and @RISARwanda to host important conversations on the role of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in advancing more inclusive, efficient, and connected financial ecosystems. Across our sessions, one message stood out clearly: strong, interoperable, and reusable digital public infrastructure is critical to accelerating financial inclusion. From enabling fintechs to launch and scale faster, to strengthening credit infrastructure and digital payment rails, DPI has the potential to lower costs, improve lending decisions, reduce delays, and better connect farmers and small businesses to markets. We also explored how shared standards, APIs, and trusted data exchange can move the conversation beyond payments, unlocking scalable financial ecosystems that work better for underserved communities. Big news from the 2026 Inclusive FinTech Forum in Kigali: Rwanda's first National Insurance Strategy has been launched. This landmark initiative positions insurance as a key pillar for economic resilience and the country's journey to upper-middle-income status by 2035 and high-income status by 2050. At #IFF2026, our CEO, @jbiyacu , participated in the roundtable on Building a Future-Ready SME Ecosystem, where he emphasized that strengthening SME finance in #Africa requires more than capital alone. He highlighted the need for a deeper understanding of different SME segments, stronger data analytics capabilities, and more agile partnerships to reach underserved businesses. He also underscored the importance of building talent that can support digital, climate, and value-chain financing models, with continuous upskilling and the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn. Yesterday, our CEO, @jbiyacu, participated in the 2nd Rwanda–Nordic and Baltic Business Forum in Kigali, which brought together policymakers, investors, and institutions to strengthen collaboration in education, innovation, trade, and sustainable development. Organized by the Embassy of Rwanda to the Nordics and the Embassy of Rwanda to the Baltics, in partnership with @RDBrwanda, the forum featured sessions to unlock new partnership and investment opportunities between #Rwanda and the Nordic and Baltic regions. Speaking on unlocking private capital for innovators in Rwanda, Iyacu emphasized that financing remains reliant on traditional bank debt and emphasized the need for broader financing options for entrepreneurs, highlighting the importance of blended finance vehicles and credit guarantee schemes to expand alternative capital flows and de-risk investment. #Investment #SustainableDevelopment

Our CEO, @jbiyacu, participated today in 𝐑𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐃𝐏𝐈 𝐃𝐚𝐲, convened by @RISARwanda in partnership with @AFRwanda and the @RwandaICT, for an introduction to Rwanda’s National Digital Public Infrastructure Strategy (DPI). Bringing together government leaders, regulators, private-sector actors, development partners, and technical teams, the event marked an important step toward introducing Rwanda’s DPI strategic direction, aligning stakeholders around foundational digital pillars, and gathering ecosystem input toward a national DPI roadmap.
