My latest mission is to improve pelvic health within our elderly population on W12. Incontinence in the elderly is not normal, and we need to address it to improve QOL, falls, skin integrity etc. - not to mention the ££ spent on pads in the NHS @GeriSoc @AGILECSP @Age_and_Ageing

Whatever folk think- same day emergency care (SDEC) for older people with moderate/severe frailty is NOT largely about same day discharge It IS about rapid comprehensive assessment of unwell people with complex needs to orchestrate the best possible care following an emergency

Preventing mental deconditioning is just as important as physical, it only took me 30 minutes to hand these out and spend a few minutes chatting with all 38 patients. Unsuprisingly ice cream flavours was the most popular today! @GamesEoE
