when you choose a journey, you choose a new you. when i decided to become an author, i started watching less slop. less news. less random entertainment. i started: > accumulating silence > reading books & long essays > recording all my thoughts destination is cool, but a new you is the actual prize.

For 25 years, I’ve started (but never finished) writing novels, dozens upon dozens of them spanning a multitude of themes and genres. I couldn’t quite crack the code, never made it past 30k words. Last night, that finally changed. First draft complete. Now the real work begins.

writing update! Finished up today's writing sprint reading/editing 7.5 chapters! 21 chapters left of my manuscript with 3 days of the week left... going to aim for 7 chapters a day to smash it out... maybe 🥹

It's been a long process but I almost finished writing my book. I'm so excited for the story. Starts like a game and suddenly it's not. It's been like a roller coaster.

@luke_tarzian That weight is real and 20 words on a tough night is still 20 words forward. Be kind to yourself. When you're ready for fresh eyes on any part of it (pacing, emotional arcs, just to know if it lands), I'd be honored to read. I do beta reading.

Writing the final book in a story I’ve been working on for 10 years is quite intimidating. I wish I could say Shadow Twins 3 was chugging along, but it’s not. It’s wheezing uphill along with my mental health. I’m hoping to have it finished at some point next year but who knows.

Thank you. I"ve been incredibly honest about everything, my past, everything. This has been extremely hard as I never wanted to talk about it all. But I've been left with no choice. I've even just finished writing a book on everything. It's been painful to write but I think necessary.

We need to be careful of this woman as she’s a convicted conwoman. I’m not saying that she is lying in this post but we do need to be aware of her past.
