The Richmond ticketing is getting so out of hand. A dad had his emergency lights on to drop off his daughter at day care and got a ticket for stopping in front of the daycare.

I honestly don’t care if they’re pressing the same button over and over. It can be a form of stimming for some kids or it can also be similar to babbling and is important in their language development.

I saw a tik tok of a teacher saying her students AAC device is too “distracting” in her class so she keeps it muted or at her desk which is such a horrible thing to do to a kid and a violation of their IEP

Idk which educators need to hear this but an AAC is a students communication device. Students should ALWAYS have access to say what they want whenever they want to. You should NEVER mute their device or hide it.

You can’t say “They work hard and deserve to be fairly compensated” and not offer 100% health care coverage You can’t say “at the center of every decision we make are the students we serve” and then cut eliminate 73 Teamsters positions
