@Bishop_Beesley @BrixtonHatter The car was not “overtaking”; it was in its assigned lane continuing without obstruction. Cyclist needed to check it was safe before veering out of the bus/cycle lane. Instead had only one hand on the handlebars and was clearly focused on something to her left.

At the one second mark you can see her look at a pedestrian over her left shoulder and give that person the finger. Her crash resulted from her inattention to road as a result of this behaviour. In an ideal world she would be prosecuted in the same way as the driver of a motor vehicle would be.

No cycle lane. No bus stop bypass. Rider forced close to the bus by an overtaking vehicle. There may be a miscalculation by the rider here but she wouldn’t have been put in this position if there were proper cycling facilities. Hope she’s ok.

A gentleman always opened doors for ladies, stood up when a lady entered the room, and offered his seat on the bus. Twenty years ago was the first time I held open a door for a stranger lady where she verbally attacked me saying "I can do that. Get out of my way." Well okay then. I haven't given up opening doors for strange women - but I do take a defensive stance. Insanity!
