PR of 🇵🇱 together with members of @FAO Council visited the Joint FAO and @iaeaorg Centre of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture in Vienna. @FAODG - we highly value this visit and appreciate the opportunity to witness such impeccable collaboration within the UN Family.

PR of Poland🇵🇱 @AIwanicki_ is attending the Special 1️⃣8️⃣0️⃣Session of @FAO Council🇺🇳. Implications for world food security and agriculture arising from disruptions of supply chains in the Gulf region, including the closure of key maritime routes are on the agenda.

PR of Poland🇵🇱 is participating in the 9️⃣ Informal Joint Merting of @WFP, @FAO and @IFAD. RBAs Management and PRs are discussing: 🔹UN80 reform 🔹School feeding initiatives #savingliveschanginglives

PR of🇵🇱 participated in the International Women’s Day event, co-hosted by the President of the @WFP Executive Board, with ED C. McCain in attendance. Poland greatly recognizes the valuable actions taken by RBAs to promote women’s access to leadership opportunities.

PR of🇵🇱 has participated in the International Day of Forests & #WorldWaterDay followed by a session on forests & economies. Forests support millions of livelihoods & contribute trillions to the global economy, from clean water & climate to ecotourism, energy & raw materials.

The EU HoMs met today in Villa Europa where they were discussing among others: 🔹on-going work in the @FAO renewal A&B working groups 🔹@FAO 35. Regional Conference in Dushambe 🔹preparations for RBAs elections The special guest of the meeting was WFP’s COO Carl Skau. 🇵🇱🇪🇺🇺🇳

PR of 🇵🇱 expressed gratitude to Cindy McCain @WFPChief for her outstanding leadership of the @WFP. Her commitment to combating global hunger and supporting the world’s most vulnerable communities has left a meaningful impact. We extend our best wishes for her future endeavours.

🇵🇱 expresses its appreciation to the Government of 🇦🇲 for finalizing the national policy for school feeding with the technical assistance provided by the @WFP . We believe that nationally anchored school feeding is a powerful investment in children’s health and education.

At Villa Europa, together with EU Member States and Ukraine we marked 4 year of Russia’s invasion and 🇺🇦 courageous defence of its sovereignty. A prolonged war in Ukraine doesn’t only threaten security – it keeps undermining global #FoodSecurity. #StandWithUkraine

Poland🇵🇱 attaches importance to @IFAD’s unique role within the international development architecture, particularly its focus on smallholder farmers and its emphasis on rural women and youth. In this context, 🇵🇱 has actively participated in the Replenishment of the budget IFAD.

.@AIwanicki_ has met with @AdamNowak_PL - Undersecretary of State in @MRiRW_GOV_PL. They discussed about: 🔹Key aspects of Poland - @FAO relations; 🔹Polish presence in the FAO Council (2025-2027); 🔹Efforts to restore Polish premises in @FAO headquarter in Rome.

Opening Ceremony of the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF) 2026 Investments in empowering women in agrifood systems and promoting synergies among international initiatives supporting women farmers are crucial in building food security and resilience.
