#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “It was supposed to open Friday, it is not open because Trump says he does not want it open. When this bridge does open some day, if Trump ever lets it open, you should know that there is a competing bridge a little way down the river, a privately-owned very old very congested toll bridge that will likely LOSE some of its traffic…because of competition. It will lose some of its traffic to this pretty, brand new bridge that has just been built. The family that operates the competing old bridge, earlier this year, made a $1 million donation to Donald Trump’s super pac. In short order, a member of that family then got an in person meeting with Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The White House and the pac say that was just a coincidence…but after the million dollar donation, he gets this meeting, and then the SAME day of the meeting, Howard Lutnick calls President Donald Trump and then Trump suddenly discovers new supposedly trade-related reasons why he’s now suddenly against this bridge, even though previously he has been for it.” 🤦‍♀️

🚨 Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly speaking facts: "Africans can’t have their people" at the World Cup because of US travel bans. Every other team gets their fans. But Global South teams like Senegal get blocked while the West lectures everyone about "inclusion" and "human rights". This is the same empire that bombs, exploits, and restricts — then cries when others resist. Football should unite people, not separate them with racist visa policies and double standards. Stand with Koulibaly. Stand with the fans. Stand with the Global South. No bows. Just raw truth. 💪🏿🇸🇳

Il riscaldamento della nazionale senegalese. La World Cup, nonostante le divisioni imposte da Trump, continua a celebrare l'identità dei Paesi partecipanti e la voglia di condividerla con gli altri.

Fascinating argument by Bloomberg's top energy analyst Javier Blas 👇: he argues that China effectively saved the world economy during the Iran war by absorbing the brunt of the global oil supply shock on its own, without visible economic damage. According to his calculations, China "cut its average daily waterborne oil imports by the same amount as the combined oil consumption of Germany, France and the UK." And, still according to Blas, they "did so without suffering economic harm" because they could rely on many levers: their huge strategic petroleum reserve, a massive surge in EV usage, their remaining coal-fired electricity capacity, and coal-to-chemicals replacing lost feedstocks. Had China not been ready to absorb that blow, a good argument can be made that the economic damage to the West, and the world at large, would have spiraled far beyond what we saw. Effectively, China's energy strategy at all levels (petroleum reserves, EVs, etc.) and its ability to withstand huge supply shocks paid off for everyone, not just for them. It sounds awfully familiar: in 2008 too it was China's stimulus package and continuous buying of US Treasuries that averted a complete breakdown of the global financial system. So twice in 20 years the country the West loves to present as a "threat" to the global economy effectively saved it from a US-made global economic disaster 🤷

COLUMN: The Chinese 'oil weapon.' The Strait of Hormuz crisis shows Beijing is now a stabilizing force for oil prices. This potentially reshapes the energy risk premia — and Asian geopolitics if conflict breaks out over Taiwan. @Opinion bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

MAJOR BREAKING: In a now deleted post by former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier, he posted screenshots of Eric Trump trying to get an insider scoop on whether any of the MMA fights at the White House are rigged so that he could try and illegally make money off of them.. Below is the Direct Messages that Trump allegedly sent Cormier. There is no reason to doubt the legitimacy of these messages.

I’m a Trumper because I think people should vote in person (or have a reason if they don’t)? This was standard pretty much everywhere in America before Trump

BREAKING: Congress Just Learned Something Pretty Stunning About Jeffrey Epstein’s Operation. According to Rep. Melanie Stansbury, Epstein’s longtime executive assistant admitted her legal fees are being paid by a fund established through Epstein’s estate. Read that again. Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019. Yet his money is still paying the attorneys of a key witness connected to his network. Then came another admission. She acknowledged helping arrange calls between Epstein and Trump, Prince Andrew, and other powerful figures. Even now, Epstein’s money appears to be shaping who can afford legal representation and who can’t. That’s a remarkable revelation.

@atrupar Who benefits?! When Chris Wright lied that an oil tanker had been escorted by the US Navy through the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices quickly fell allowing a buy-in before deleting his post, causing oil prices to immediately go back up. Making BIG $$$ through market manipulation!
