Has been a few months since I was last in SA's Upper North region. Sth Flinders ranges is one of my favourite spots, lovely to be back. Installing weather & environmental monitoring sites under the imposing Mt Remarkable. A place where dryland cropping transitions to pastoral. A place where different management systems suit different landscapes & the land custodian. A place where free range grazing can exist sustainably as can dryland cropping; good managers can regenerate the land under a wide range of production systems.
