The choices this Labour government has made means inflation has fallen today to its lowest rate in a year. Lower food and petrol prices are helping ease the pressure on household budgets. I know there’s more to do, cutting the cost of living is my number one priority.

I have reliable information that @reformparty_uk hierarchy has instructed its team publicly to denounce @NickBuckleyMBE. There is no depth too low for them in fighting an election. The first attack they have mounted is falsely to claim that Nick is a misogynist. That is a lie. They cropped and misquoted his comments out of context. Nick was actually calling out liberalism for the sexualising of women and young girls. That is what liberalism has done. On the alter of “anything goes” women and girls have been encouraged to set aside their self worth. It is disgusting and needs bluntly to be called out. But instead of supporting Nick, Reform has chosen to crop a quote out of context. That also is disgusting. On the alter of liberalism, women’s and young girl’s security is being threatened. They are even being put in danger by men identifying as women and coming into their safe spaces. It would appear Reform does not care about women. It supports Betty Blue as a member. It has appointed a self declared porn star as its campaign manager in Kensington and Chelsea. I will not cite her name to protect her identity. And it is prepared to allow transgender “women” (otherwise known as men) into women’s prisons. The fact is, Reform and its attack dogs are part of the liberal nonsense. Nick and @_AdvanceUK stand for the respect of women and girls, their protection and family values. If Reform’s attack dogs had a moral compass, they would apologise to Nick. I am not holding my breath.

The right is becoming divided and needlessly hostile. I made a simple point that Matt Goodwin is a serious political academic who has moved right, while also recognising @NickBuckleyMBE as a strong Advance candidate who can challenge him effectively. All I have received from Reform supporters are insults, while die-hard advance supporters shut down the argument without engaging. I am a member of Advance UK, and I will do whatever it takes to help the party succeed, but honesty matters, and there are good people in Reform, too. Matt is going to win, and that is a great result for the right and for Advance to run in by-election is valuable experience in being a serious political party.
