BREAKING NEWS FROM CNN:
Today's high-stakes hearing: The Supreme Court appears poised to back former President Donald Trump and fend off a blockbuster challenge to his eligibility to appear on Colorado’s ballot as a presidential candidate in 2024, a move that would extract the justices from one of the most politically fraught appeals in the court’s history.
What the justices said: The justices’ questions to the Colorado challengers suggested support for Trump in the dispute. Chief Justice John Roberts, a key vote to watch in the case, suggested one of Colorado's arguments is "at war" with the thrust of the 14th Amendment. Meanwhile, Justice Elena Kagan, a liberal who is being watched for signs of a possible compromise ruling, asked why a single state should be able to decide who should be on the ballot in a national election.
What’s at stake: While Colorado is the focus, the high court’s decision could have major ramifications in other states that have pending litigation to remove Trump from their 2024 ballots. If the court rules he can be kept off the ballot before Colorado’s March 5 primary, the state has said votes for him would not count.
Derek Muller, an election law expert at Notre Dame Law School who filed a neutral brief that offered analysis of key legal questions, said after the hearing that the justices are likely to put Donald Trump back on the ballot in Colorado.
“The justices seemed concerned that one state could affect the entire presidential election process, and that there needed to be some guidance from Congress before such an extraordinary measure could be taken,” Muller said. “The Court seemed inclined to let the political process play out.”
Muller – who hasn’t taken a position on Trump’s eligibility under the 14th Amendment – pointed out that several justices expressed unease with states implementing the ban without some sort of guidance from Congress.
“It's not surprising to see the justices express discomfort with the proposition that the United States Supreme Court should wade into a factual and legal mire like this,” Muller said. “But it was somewhat surprising that there seemed to be consensus around the theory that states could not do this without congressional legislation."
Former President Donald Trump delivered remarks Thursday after the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case on his presidential ballot eligibility.
“I thought it was very— it’s a very beautiful process. I hope that democracy in this country will continue,” he said at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. “I thought the presentation today was a very good one. I think it was well received. I hope it was well received.”
THIS IS INFURIATING! The Republican Supreme Court is going to let Trump off the hook AGAIN…😡😡😡

@nurse_ghost @mmpadellan Yeah. Gonna be kinda hard for you to censor the truth now huh?

I have a logical question for trump supporters:
1. If you accept trump's argument that anything and everything a President does while in office is above prosecution because he has some kind of "presidential immunity"
2. AND you also embrace the irrational belief that President Biden is some kind of criminal mastermind who has no problem breaking the law
Theoretically, he could then probably do the EXACT same thing that trump is being prosecuted for (the fake electors scheme) to ensure that he stays in office, and avoid prosecution for it, since you believe Presidents are above prosecution.
So my question is, does that work for you?
Biden does a fake electors scheme, stays in office, and NO jail for him.
REMINDER: If President Biden goes to prison for it, trump goes first.
Let us know. We'll wait.

BREAKING: Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie digs into Donald Trump’s thin skin, slamming his “awful temperament” after Trump threw a fit over his new gag order.
Christie is one of the few people who consistently manages to infuriate Trump, and this is certain to do the trick.
Asked about Trump calling the gag order from Judge Tanya Chutkan “unconstitutional,” Christie told former White House press secretary Jen Psaki exactly what he thinks.
“Look, this is the awful temperament of the guy who is currently the front-runner for the domination of my party,” he said.
“And that’s why I’m out here, calling him out directly on this stuff, Jen, because his conduct is beneath the office that he was privileged to hold,” he added.
“By the way, this is a guy who said it would be OK to suspend the Constitution if you thought that an election were not going your way,” he went on, adding that we shouldn’t “lean on” Trump for “constitutional interpretation.”
He predicted that Trump will eventually violate the gag order.
“You’re not allowed to do this,” said Christie. “And because he’s running for president, he thinks somehow the law doesn’t apply to him — it does.”
Christie might have awful personal politics, but he always nails it when it comes to Trump.

Remember though it was actually your buddy Hillary that tried to influence an election, got caught, and then only had to pay an $8000 fine.

BREAKING: Prominent Pro-Trump Republican activist shots his wife multiple times and then turns the gun on himself in the parking lot of a Florida burger restaurant.
Police say that, after being shot, the wife of political activist Steven Alembik ran into the restaurant “bleeding profusely” and begging for someone to call paramedics. The activist stayed in his car, where he “took his own life” with his gun.
According to police, he shot his wife “in the back and arm” — and she is currently fighting for her life “in critical condition.”
Alembik was a major Republican donor, a die-hard supporter of Donald Trump, and stirred controversy by calling President Obama a “Muslim n*gger” and tweeting that “Ruth Bader Ginsburg can't die soon enough.”
He was a regular guest at Mar-a-Lago — and had close ties to President Trump and other Republican leaders like Florida Senator Rick Scott and Florida Governor DeSantis.
Shockingly, prominent Trumper Laura Loomer praised the murderous activist today, declaring that he was a “wonderful and kindhearted man” — despite the fact that he had just attempted to kill his wife.
Simply deplorable…

OUTRAGEOUS: Donald Trump, a potential Republican presidential candidate for 2024, initiates a divisive and discriminatory assault on former President Barack Obama regarding the Hamas assaults on Israel.
On Truth Social, Trump shares, "Individuals who attacked Israel are now infiltrating our once picturesque nation, taking advantage of our completely unsecured southern border, in unprecedented numbers. Could they intend to harm us from within? Corrupt Joe Biden and his superior, Barack Hussein Obama, are to blame for enabling this situation!"
This situation should not be underestimated, by individuals. Trump is cognizant of his likelihood of facing imprisonment and the impossibility of holding office as President again. As a result, it appears that he is deliberately stirring up his supporters by promoting discriminatory propaganda.
Initially, he drew analogies between vulnerable refugees and actual members of Hamas involved in terrorism. Subsequently, he made unsubstantiated allegations against President Biden and President Obama, claiming their involvement in orchestrating an attack on American soil alongside Hamas.
Donald Trump is a reprehensible individual who must be put behind bars before he further undermines our democratic system while desperately trying to evade legal consequences.
